  3. Goose this is off the subject but I thought of you when I found out that the NFL Network is replaying entire Super Bowl games. We were talking about how this should be done and put on DVD. This might be the next best thing to DVD.

I belive that the Washington v. Denver Super Bowl is on today. Tommy Smith and all his Glory.

  4. I saw that they had started replaying the SB games....and of course caught it right at the start of SB XL......couldn't watch one second.

  10. I just need to cut off the sleeves of my sweatshirt and my Belicheck starter kit will be ready to go this Sunday.

  11. I just came across this link on NFL.com and automatically thought of Joe but also thought that it would help make the Championship games more interesting...

    Who's wagon are you on?

  12. I have officially punched my ticket for admission on the Saints bandwagon for at least the next 7 days....

WS Bowl @ 8:30 PM Jimbo?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Its Timmy Smith. You should remember the name because the Bronco defense made him look like someone who wouldnt be working in a car wash with clarence Kay today.

    ReplyDelete
  14. According to the bandwagon link, my new team is....WHO DAT? WHO DAT? WHO DAT SAY GONNA BEAT THEM SAINTS????

    ReplyDelete
  15. Timmy, Tommy I blocked it all out of my mind... I guess I will watch it tonight and relieve what I missed since the game was turned off in the second half at the Lovato House.

Bandwagon link tells me I am a Colts Believer. In Payton I trust

  16. I feel dirty...I got the Bears...I will now attempt to drown myself in toilet water

  17. If you score 54 points in an NBA game in Seattle and nobody even notices does it mean it really happened?

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'm sorry, who are these Sonics you speak of? Doesn't Ray Allen play for the Baltimore Ravens?

I've heard fables of this...how do you say? NBA?

    btw

    Saints/Pats Superbowl. Believe it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I think you can count Scott, party of 2 in for the party.....I'm just waiting to get an email back from "The Hammer".

    ReplyDelete
  22. How many years have we been doing this!?! You know 2.0 can't miss a SB party at the Nest. Count me in...

I'm out for tonight at the WS Bowl... need the night to study.

Harry Kalas as the voice on the bandwagon link was nice. He's easily in my Top 5 Announcers of All-Time.

  23. Who was your Bandwagon team Joe?

    ReplyDelete
  24. You'll laugh at this one... it chose the Colts for me. Glad I was able to make your day, Train.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Hey, I got the COLTS too so I can't laught that hard.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well Joe. When the title of the post is "Mother of all super bowl parties VII", that would mean...well lets see...1,2,3,4,5,6, 7 years? Since 2001. Before the 1st Gossling

It started with a Ravens win,
    Lasted through all NE Victories
Saw Chucky blow out the Raiders.
Didnt happen last year because as Jimbo said "The Forgotten super bowl"
We also had the super bowl wardrobe malfunction and Train with the line of the night, "Any super bowl with Tit is the greatest super bowl EVER!!!"

BTW. Broncos Packers are on right now NFL Network....4th quarter...This ones for Train....

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thanks Goose, it's being recorded as we speak.

    ReplyDelete
  28. The forgotten superbowl referred to the 91 Skins versus the Bills...I don't remember a single thing from that game other than I've read that it happened...

    ReplyDelete
  29. I can refresh your memory if you would like.

Man the Packer Bronco game was great....and what player hoisted up Elway and carried him on his shoulders?....It was Mr Bubby Brister.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 97 Bronco's #12 on America's Game

    ReplyDelete
  31. So far we have
    Seatown and Mrs Seatown
    Train
    Joe
    Jimbo
    Dude.

Will Mrs 2.0, Mrs Poohbah or the Kennish be making the pilgrimage to the 253?
Will MCP enter the Nest? Seriously MCP you are welcome to come.
    Duke?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I am working on getting MCP to attend...

    ReplyDelete
  33. Mrs. Seatown is probably contingent on Mrs. 2.0 and/or Mrs. Poohbah's attendance.....

    ReplyDelete
  34. Love the pic of the day... Shots like that keep me employed

    ReplyDelete
  35. Did anyone see the article that Rick Neuheisal got promoted to Ravens offensive coordinator?

    ReplyDelete
  36. I saw it...and then I moved on...like every good Dawgfan...

    ReplyDelete
  37. Where has the Duke been? He has been mysteriously absent since UW Campus has has a rash of Peeping tom incidents. I think he is trying to become his own "Freak of the Week"

    ReplyDelete
  38. I've been wondering the same thing. Why has Duke foresaken us?

So Goose do you have a menu planned for the Super Bowl yet? Or are we sticking with what I consider the best meatball sub on the planet?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Goose....it looks like Mrs. Seatown is going to join Mrs. 2.0 in a seperate "Anti-Super Bowl" gathering.....so she is out. But I am in.....and can I bring anything? ...food? ...booze?

    ReplyDelete
  40. just poker money for 2.0 and Dude to steal...

    ReplyDelete
  41. Seatown. Food is always covered at the Nest. However Beer is always in need for the party.

Goose also spent monday building his new Redwood Mini Bar for his sunroom addition. (About 4 feet wide and 5 feet tall) That can always use a fresh bottle of the Lodges finest.

    Train.
I was going to ask the group after sunday. Normally I would never mess with the tradition of the Super Bowl Meatball Sandwich. However if New Orleans were to upset the Bears on sunday. I was pondering a menu change to reflect the Saints in their 1st super bowl. Potentially Po Boys and Gumbo.

Everything will fall into place after sundays games.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I was thinking of poker, a madden tournament, or potentially the Gossling vs train at Lego Star Wars II for cash. Im betting RJ can take his money.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Devo got a promotion at work and hasn't had any time at all for Lodge activity. Plus, he's been on a few dates in the past couple of weeks... Lodge Rule #1: Women ruin everything.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Man 6 posts away from a hat trick, gotta get one last push from this post.....lets see....

Has anyone watch the "Armed and Famous". the Celebrity Cop show?

  46. Its like watching a Train wreck.
If you like the Surreal Life, and watching washed up people try to make a name for themselves, then it can be amusing

    ReplyDelete
  47. Thanks Train. But that was cheap way of getting a Hat trick. Kind of like two open net shots after the goalie was pulled. (HEY I made a Hockey reference)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hey, a hat trick is a hat trick no matter how you get it
