Why AVP2 Will Suck
That pretty much sums it up for me. I get the whole "Alien takes on attributes of its host"...but this just looks dumb. Maybe I'm just bummed because the Red Band & Regular teaser trailers look so damn cool. Still...I take a look at this picture and I can just picture him with a bongo and a joint in an SNL skit.
I guess it doesn't matter...I'm still gonna see it. They'll have my money either way...

It's been a long while since I made a detour to the lodge. Doesn't look like much has changed: Sports & Movies. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm in Hong Kong right now and bored out of my skull, so I'm going to yammer at you guys since you haven't heard much from me lately.
I'm somewhat off topic, but while on the 16 hour plane ride I watched another of Jayne's movie recommendations, Sunshine. My personal feeling is that it was a cheap knockoff of Event Horizon. That was a movie that scared the bejesus out of me (just ask the Dude, he's never heard the end of it for making me watch it). Sunshine was the same premise, but less scary, less tense, less interesting. I was disappointed because I watched it mainly because it was recommended, and also because of Cillian Murphy.
Okay, that's it. Thanks for humoring me guys.
Let me give the Cliff notes of Maude's post:

Apparently 'Sunshine' isn't for everyone. For the record I really really liked it. Never really thought about the event horizon comparison, but I can see it, although I'm not sure how much I agree with it.

FYI for those keeping up with the Knights....Newport Red (Gooses Team) wins the 1st round of the playoffs against Newport Gold 12-0...thus ending the civil war in Factoria
Knights are now 6-2 and in the Semi finals of the playoffs

I believe that Ewing theory only applies to someone who semi-carried/kept team down the year prior...while none of use would argue about the latter...I don't remember you ever carrying anything...

San Jose, eh? Well, I just googled the trip... and it's almost a 6 hour drive. So... we'll probably have to limit our mini-Lodge gatherings to Vegas.
Update on Robbie D... apparently his girlfriend IS as crazy as Amy Winehouse... so instead of a "hotter, less-crazy Amy Winehouse", she's apparently a "hotter, just-as-crazy Amy Winehouse"... so he's single again. But when you're 21 and around college girls 24/7, it's probably better to be single. Somebody told me this since it's been a while.
But I'll drag Robbie D out to Vegas again if a gathering is planned. Less than 4 hours + Vegas = go time.
