"The Dalai Lama himself, twelfth son of the Lama!" - Carl Spackler
As much as I disagree with the Lama's heathen beliefs, I am utterly in awe of the dual view point Lama Politics article by the Times. They actually took the daring attempt to show the perspective of ethnic Chinese who are offended by the pro-Tibet backlast. Because its not all about the Richard Gere. (Beastie Boys are briefly forgiven.)
Not only that, some editor at the times goes balls out and lets this mind bomb drop: What he finds hypocritical is American political leaders making statements about the Tibet situation and human rights in China, when "we are doing worse things in the Middle East."
O_O
Thanks for finally putting up good international reporting Times. And watch out for Lama traffic Lodge.

I saw the Lama on Friday. Interesting insight on family and children during the lecture I saw. I have to say, there was too many videos and not as much talking as I would have expected. The place was glued on every word spoken by the Dali Lama
but, did you receive absolute consciousness at death?
I'm just guessing, but maybe they add in a lot of videos because Lama is an old man speaking to thousands all day long. Overall, he is way healthier than any of the modern Popes have ever looked.
...I suppose the belief of reincarnation after death until one reaches enlightenment is satisfying enough for "absolute consciousness at death". A Christian point of view should not always be so narrow-minded, there is much to learn from others as well; the Bible did not condemn other religions, only said that Christ was the way.
