Taking the day off from the blog.

I'll take some time and gather my thoughts. I do leave you with a quote from Jason Whitlock of the Kansas City Star..plus an interesting article that he wrote

"Pittsburgh’s one-for-the-thumb Super Bowl will be remembered as the game when physically overmatched referees and heads-buried NFL executives flipped non-Steelers fans an XL middle finger."

I would like to take this moment and thank the Ateam and Ateam wives for attending the "Mother of all Super Bowl Parties".

I understand you can go anywhere and I was honored that you chose the Nest.

Goose.

I'm taking a page from Champ Kind this week, "I think you should take a few plays off and stop talking for a while,"...it honestly feels worse this morning than it did last night...perhaps later in the week I can start getting on with my life, right now I'm heading to the caves of Afghanistan...

After a restless night of thinking what might have been I dont think I am any good to the Lodge this week. I too need some time to gain my thoughts and get back in the right frame of mind but for now I am in a blackhole of nothing.

Thanks for the hospitality Goose.

I really thought that I would feel better after a good nights sleep....but I was dead wrong. This hurts bad...and the more I read, the madder I get.

Just an FYI - I took an intentional gander at Cold Pizza this morning...and even Skip the Jackass said that the Seahawks got jobbed by the officials. Everyone knows that the Hawks were the best team on the field...but it doesn't matter now.

Thanks, Goose. I have no words. Only anger. I'm this close to killing a few younglings and going to the dark side after yesterday's travesty.

Okay...maybe the whole rape comment was a little strong....

...or maybe it wasn't strong enough.

Either way this city fell in love with football again. As much as today hurts, I love seeing this city get behind its team.

After a terrible nights skeep, things are no better. The wounds are raw and the memories are fresh. It's a shame that this team got snubbed by the NFL.

I can honestly say this wouldn't fly with any other league and if the league doesn't say anything...well it wouldn't be the right thing. Things need to be admitted and consequences need to be passed out.

Some time off for me...as the wounds will need some time to heal.

I'm sure the people in Pittsburg are already working on a Bill Leavy shrine.

Do you think the Steelers gave him a game ball?

Goose...also...thanks for the hospitality.

I just want to say...a disgrace by the guy that wore 81 for the game before the game. No excuse to lose to the Steelers...

Sorry, Joe, some of us (me) can't spend their time in front of a computer...I have other matters to attend.

In case you didn't hear it, here's Mike Holmgrens comment at the rally @ Qwest field today:

"We knew it was going to be tough going against the Pittsburgh Steelers, I didn't know we were going to have to play the guys in the striped shirts as well."

There's a fine that I'm sure Holmgren doesn't give a sh*t about receiving

I'd be willing to bet that Paul Allen gave Holmgren the green light to say whatever he wanted.....I'm sure that comment will be bankrolled.
