To Those Whose Faith May Be Waivering

Train: The War's over, man. The Steelers are dropping the big one.

Jayne: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Jimbo: Germans?

Goose: Forget it, he's rolling.

Jayne: And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough...
[Jayne thinks hard]
the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!
[runs out of the lodge, alone; then returns]
What the f**k happened to the Hawk fans I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Jayne, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Joey Porter, he's a dead man! Ben Roethlisberger...dead! Troy Polamalu...

Train: Dead! Jayne's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons, but that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.

Jayne: We're just the guys to do it.

Dude: Let's do it.

Jayne: LETS DO IT!!!!!

[Rushes out of the lodge screaming]

[Silence]

Joe: The MCP is a f**king dork.

dude, I was freaked out...the dog had to drop a duece, and I was a little reluctant to let him out in the yard, w/ a police heli rolling like it was Watts, then I started hearing the guy and I knew someone had a few too many Poogie specials, and it turned out to be fairly hilarious, I could hear him inside the house....COPS on location from "da' junktion"

there is someting pretty eerie about a heli up top, either you get an image of NAM or south central, Either way I had to say it was a good day...

I actually had a heli chase a guy right into our backyard down in the 520 once. A guy came running down the alley and jumped over our fence. We turned on as many lights out back as we could and he bailed out of the yard towards the front and started running down the street. Gotta love Tucson....it's got some real "nice" parts, but more "not so nice" parts.

Side note - where the hell is Joe?

Maybe he has been beat to a pulp by hawks fans for wearing his K Robinson jersey..

I had a nice run in with the law back in the day. I was with a group of friends in Sequim, WA egging cars(yes, goose I know this was stupid) so a cop saw us and next thing I know were are on a high speed chase in the back roads of Sequim kind of a dukes of hazard thing. Well finally we got pulled over and were kuffed by cops who had there guns drawn. Yeah, that was the last time I fought the law....

You will be missed C-town.

Question.. I have never experienced the SB at a club, bar, casino. Are there any advantages to this way of celebrating? Am I missing out.

I have to admit PEMCO has really suprised me today. They are raffling off Hawks gear and have a "tailgating" themed Lunch menu. There also playing the NFC champ game on a big projector screen in the cafeteria. SWEET!!!

Well, the only reason we are going up to club hollywood is because one of my best friends is the GM/food & beverage manager....so he's reserving us a space with a nice couch and we'll get some VIP treatment. I would rather be at home or something this time because I actually want to watch the game...but my TV blows.

As for watching a big event in a bar in general.....I am a fan, if you are in the mood. Most of the time, if you are in the right spot...everyone is not only paying attention, the emotion hinges on every shot, every pitch and every play. Now, if you are in Seatown trying to watch the Yankees in the World Series...probably not going to feel the love y'know?

I was fortunate enough to be a student at U of A when they won the NCAA basketball title in 1996....and WOW. That was hands down, the most amazing experience ever. (Hopefully, that experience will soon be overshadowed by a new one). I have also had a blast watching Husky games at the Duchess...both football and basketball.

Are you missing out? ....nah. It's fun sometimes, but not all the time....and I definitely used to enjoy it more than I do now.
