Who wouldn't want to see old Yankee Stadium?

The Sports Gods have gotten together to create the ultimate site for sports travel. The Lodge should take a serious look at getting something planned. To be honest I would rather do this then Vegas but that’s just me. I would like to start a tradition with the Lodge. I know this is a pipe (not that pipe Jim) dream right now but we should look at taking a sports related trip once a year. We can start out small and work our way up from a hockey game to the MASTERS...

This site might just have some legs. F'n brilliant! I agree with Train in that I still think a September/October Vegas trip trumps this... but we have decisions to make, team.

Hell we could even start small this summer.

What about a Weekend in Idaho or Easter WA. Lets go watch a minor league baseball game here or in Oregon. Something we can drive to.

While I aprreciate the sentiment that Train is trying to show here. Its time to shit of get off the pot. Yeah I actually wrote shit.

I can see this growing as we get older and more established and have some money stocked away.

Its not even the money thing.

I can gas up the Soccer mom minivan to fit all of us. We eat cheap. Stay in dive hotels and do Tri cities one night. Spokane the next. And then drive back. I'll bet we can make a weekend for about $100-$150 bucks per person total.

Man.....this subject has been discussed by every male sports lover at one point in his life or another. I used to talk to some guys about getting in an RV and seeing a baseball game in every ballpark...this is while we were in college and we didn't have crap to deal with daily, like we all do now.

That being said....I would be in for any sports related trip....and while hitting up something major would be sweet....it is the everyday stuff that has become legendary that I would regret not doing by the time I got too old.

Like seeing a game at Wrigley Field/Yankee Stadium, or seeing a football game at the big house in Michigan or Notre Dame. We almost hit up the ND/UW game a couple years back, but tickets were too much at the time. Let's head to Chi-town and take the train to a football game at ND......or catching a NASCAR someplace, yeah...I said it...NASCAR race. Not a fan really, but it's the largest spectator sport in the US....can that many rednecks be wrong?

Hmmm. I wonder since Goose works for Nextel/Sprint that he might be able to score VIP Passes to a Nascar event.

C-Town...I made the UW/ND game two years ago...words can't do it justice, let's just say, you start to understand the world of football outside the West Coast...and for the entire Lodge...we're doing the Pullman trip this year, for anyone interested...and I'd love to do an extended three day weekend catching all our lovely state has to offer, but I'm going to put it out here, that I'm not going to plan it...yeah, I said it...
