Goose is ready to crack open a Virgin Mary Statue
So last night I finished season 1 of Lost
So after completing the 1st season and figuring out a few things and starting theories (far behind anyone else) I am ready to issue my 1st warning to the creators of LOST
Beware of the XFiles
Its my understanding from talking to some people that Season 2 doesnt reveal many of the secrets that people are pondering. This is a very tricky road.
The XFiles held on to its fan base for years. There were websites and blogs, chatrooms and discussion boards. The fans were strung along for season after season, wanting to know the truth. When it was done most people felt anger over the length of the journey. That the solution wasnt worth the time and distance travelled.
I for one do not look back on the XFiles with as much admiration as I did when I was hooked for the 1st 4 or 5 seasons. I begin to drift away after the Robert Patrick Syndrome and to this day, never even watched the Series finale.
So far I came to several conclusions that Im sure with surface in Season 2
1) The Others always intended on getting Walt due to the fact he is "special"
2) The passengers from the tail section survived. You know this because a) The black woman, Rose, beliving her husband is alive and b) The appearance of Michelle Rodriguez in the Season finale...sitting in section 42f
3) Hurley and the numbers will play a huge role
They had better reveal some stuff about the Hatch and the Beast in the jungle or else Im turning this crap off. Its an adictive road that Im not willing to travel again without some answers.
Break open a statue, Goose is on the smack.

Though all of your questions won't be answered in season 2 you won't be disappointed by the end of the second season you will still be hooked, I guarantee that.
Oh, and PS - Season 2 reruns start tonight so watch up Goose. Episode 1 of season 2 is great.
I don't think you'll need to worry about Lost spiraling into the X-files, for a few reasons.
1. The producers of Lost created the show with the end in mind. They also say that they have enough of the show mapped out to go 5 or so seasons without feeling like they're just filling up space.
Where as X-files just seemed dragged on...and on...and on. Well past its prime. That show never should have been 10 seasons.
2. You're only partially correct when you say that "Season 2 doesn't reveal many of the secrets that people are pondering".
You do get A LOT of answers in the second season. More than I actually thought they would give. However, behind each of these answers lied 10 more questions. Does that mean the answers that we're given aren't fulfilling? Not usually.
I think another part of not getting anwers to the questions people are pondering is the realization that maybe they were asking the wrong questions.
3. One of the things I think that hurt X-files was the fact that it became stagnant. They really dragged their feet when it came to expanding the mythology and it became annoying to watch. After 5 or 6 years you just wanted to slap Scully every time she was skeptical about something.
Lost however has shown an eager willingness to expand and evolve with it's mythology. Season 1 is very different from Season 2 and, from the way things are set up, Season 3 looks to be very different from Season 2.
although the hype and fan following might give the appearance of similarity...I don't know if it's fair to compare both shows...the whole driving point behind Lost is to expand the universe...this is evident if you watch from the Pilot to the Season 2 Finale...
X-Files always seemed happy just to remain in its own universe and not really reach too far...I think there are way too many differences in the shows to fall in the same trap, plus the fact that the writers are aware of the X-Files trap also plays a huge role...
Goose, good work coming up to speed, if you utilize your DVR right, you should be ready to go by the Season Three Opener...
Season 2 is downloading to the IPOD as we speak. Plus the DVR is set.
I will be ready by season 3. Guaranteed
Not to divert from the LOST topic but I have to comment on the Daily Picture
"You never had me, You never had your car" - F&F I
Lucas Black is to Paul Walker as Harrison Ford is to Alec Baldwin....
Mark my words Tokyo Drift might just be the Epic movie that it has the potential to be...
Fast Cars + Lucas Black + Asian Hotties and a dash of Diesel = Lodge Outing in the making..
How much will you lose in plot development if you havent seen the 1st or 2nd?
As you all know. Once you missed the 1st 6 Rump Rangers. Rump Ranger 7 made no sense at all
BTW 10107 hits. Nice work. We'd be at 20k it we'd put the counter up sooner.
"And the hits just keep on coming"
The movies are all pretty much independant of each other...
I would recommend watching F&F 1 just for a little backstory and some wicked Vin D in his prime.
I think we all know my feeling on F&FI...there's only a couple Perfect 10's that come along during your lifetime...you need to recognize and embrace these films and build Statues of The Diesel and Walker to line the streets of LA...much like the Lucas Black statue that will be built in the center of Toyko...
In the words of comedian Daniel Tosh...when comparing Vin Diesel to a retarded chimpanzee, "...let's face it...if you're a Vin Diesel fan, you're probably too dumb to get that joke and you shouldn't be here listening to me...you should be at home....coloring."
Ouch....sorry....had to.
when comparing comedian Daniel Tosh to....oh nevermind, no one gives a shit about Daniel Tosh...
and I can't help that there are those that walk amongst us that refuse to hear the Diesel, but instead choose to listen
its a dead blog day
Retarded chimp! Hahahahahaha!
That was funny. But the truth is... if Diesel was in FF3 I'd be all for a Lodge outing. But since they are banking on our generation's Keanu in Paul Walker to carry the film.... umm... no.
Suddenly I'm not sure if I should spoil you....
click on this link if you want a major "Tokyo Drift Spoiler"

Nice pic. I might still be down for a matinee. FF1 might have been the greatest awesomely bad movies of all-time... so it's sequels could work.
The early buzz I've been reading has actually been quite favorable about this flick...
...which shocks the hell out of me.
you're not alone...
