Yeah, I love pirates and you know what i am going to do about it? I want to plan a lodge gathering to see what could possibly be the best film of the summer. So who is with me? Nobody can pass up on Keira Knightly and Johnny Depp? So, lets get something planned and show me that the Lodge respects the Pirate life....

It's the only film of the Summer that Jenny wants to see. So I have to go with my wife. If ya'll decide on a time that works for us and allow a girl to a Lodge gathering then we'll be there.
Jayne will be seeing it at Pacific Place tomorrow night...
...and yes, I'm going with someone who will be dressed as a pirate. (At least its not stormtrooper armor...)
i forgot to blog this from my vacation but its obviously long overdue and well deserved to reveal this here.
Did Half the Lodge die and we are not aware of it?
a lot of us have things called jobs and work. i think that is the main culprit train. maybe you should make a post about finding a way to stop that unnecessary activity. (hint: robots are the key)
Jobs didn't seem to get in the way a few months back. I think were just running out of topic to post. Nothing wrong with working. I have just noticed a sharp decline in posts and that includes Jayne teaser posters posts.

I think there are several reasons for Lodge decline.
1) Now dont get all huffy Soccer fans, but the World Cup Conversations centers around 4 or 5 people. I as well as Jayne do not comment often on soccer.
2) The Decline of the Dude. I miss the Dude.
3) Summer dulldrums. Its like Lodge ReRuns
4) The lack of a Lodge Roadtrip. Something where Stories and Memories can be shared.
Just my 2 cents.
Jenny threw out the idea of celebrating my birthday the next January in Vegas. If we plan out this far in advance we actually might be able to get it done. Obviously the girls would be invited... but gambling & more gambling would be in store. Just a thought...

Lets put off any kind of Road trip until next year, that way we can not do something this year AND next year as well.
My point is the Lodge cant seem to settle on a date/time/venue. Many suggestions have been made (Vegas, Camping, Minor Leage Baseball in Oregon or EWA) but no one seems to want to commit.
Sometimes Gentlemen you have to throw caution to the wind and make something happen.
I'll have to pass. The Gander and I are seeing it next Friday. No posts or Spoilers next week (That means you Jayne)
So i've decided to not go to Vegas this August since I want to use $$$ to renovate instead. I'm WAYYY WILLING to go to Vegas with you guys this coming January.
I would love to through caution to the wind but I don't have that luxury with my present job (if anyone can help with a job opening let me know ASAP) I can get some time off but I have to ask for said time a year in advance. The Lodge never seems to commit on any thing which keeps me out of a commitment.
I would love to go for a weekend camping trip. Right now I don't have the cash flow to support a trip to Vegas.
I say lets plan the camping trip.
The weekend of July 29th. Lets go up Saturday Morning and we can return Sunday. Something quick and easy to get our feet wet. We can go somewhere that isnt a long drive (I remember Duke had some spots).
We can pool cars together to carry tents and people.
We can Divy up meals and who cooks and the whole event can be planned in the lodge in some exciting posts over the next few weeks posts.
Who's with me? LETS DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Runs out of Room like Bluto in Animal House)
