Semi-Final Gathering?

So the first World Cup semi-final match is tomorrow at 12 noon. With everyone having the day off, no one has an excuse not to meet up for the match. So where is it going to be? Jimbo is having a 4th of July shindig. Should we convene at the Lodge? Let's discuss. I say we meet at a West Seattle location and kick off the 4th right with whiskey & futbol.

On Saturday, Devin & I saw Chan-wook Park third and final revenge film Lady Vengeance at the Varsity. I love the heroine role, and Yeong-ae Lee really rocked the part in the lead role. The title character, Lee Geum-Ja, that stunningly beautiful, angelic like-presence, a sinner. A woman who went to prison for killing a 5 year old little kid, an innocent life ruined because of someone who never looked like the kind of woman you would ever imagine doing something so cruel, so terrible, so tragic. The film centers itself around the idea of atonement. Oddly philosophical for such a violent series. Sympathy For Lady Vengeance was a gruesome ride of a film -- but still well worth watching as almost guilty entertainment.
