Nice, now we can talk about it. My favorite part was the announcer after the Saha score, "He couldn't finish from 12 yds out, but he does here from 19!" Spot on.
Great match. Chelsea got lucky coming away with a draw in that one. United really dominated the ball and overall looked the better of the two squads on Sunday.
Seriously Joe did you watch the game?
Man U domminated the fist while Chelsea dominated the second. A draw was a fitting end to a game played by two great teams. In my opnion Man U missed on some big momentum. While Chelsea showed they have the intestinal fortitude to come back when they are not playing there best ball.
The Special one by far out thought SAF. His tactical change at the second half proved to be the winning force. Essian was dominant at left back while Ashley played out of his mind against Ronoldo. The whole Chelsea back line pretty much dominated ManU's forwards (Wayne where you at).
Chelsea are not without warts. Ballack is a liability and they need to finish runs and not get sloppy with finishing passes.
Lamps had some nice goes at the net. Sheva and Drogba Where you two at?
All in all it was the best game all year and I love that we still get to play them at the Bridge!
Joe, please go back at watch the game film yes!
It was the tale of two-halves and the tale teams that will compete neck-n-neck all season...Chelsea did some things in the 2nd half and proved that they do in fact have a deeper bench and more attacking options...something that Sir Alex will be sure to address come January 1st when the transfer window opens up...
I'm still not sure if Saha is pants or not...I'm leaning towards pants, but I could be easily swayed the other way
Saha was a shorts/parachute pants hybrid. He had a great goal. Then after that not so much...
Depth wins you trophies. Profound huh?
Well, Saha didn't make the swiftest of headers to clear Chelsea's goal in the 2nd half. Mourinho did make the necessary adjustments, but I just felt that they didn't have the overall cohesiveness that United played with.
Cohesiveness, yes I would have to agree with that. Jimmy knows I was complaining about the lack of Chelsea players thinking ahead to the 2nd or 3rd pass down the field. They gave up the ball to much in the 1st half and were indecisive.
Umm....I saw most of the game.....and I'm pretty sure that Saha was wearing shorts. If he is "the pants" does that mean that he's dope? ......maybe he's just knickers then? .....hmmmm, oh well.....see, this is what I'm talking about. I can watch all the soccer on my own that I want, but I need the whole terminology crap to be legit.
DAMMIT!
I was worried that I was out of touch because I didnt know who that was. Thank god Im not out of touch...I just dont care.
Pants = crap
meaning he was playing like he was wearing pants and everyone else had shorts on. It's a British term that we all learned during the World cup.
If I was asking.....obviously, we ALL didn't learn it now did we?
sorry CTown, it's just the little lingo that we used to make ourselves feel cool...and obviously we've done nothing of the sort...
Sorry Ctown I miss spoke there. We really know nothing about Soccer we just pretend we do.
