Day Five: I got nothing
So in my commitment that I will make a post everyday while I’m here, I am making a post that most would say is a duplicate of the game ManU played last night. Well not with the fun of labels!!!
Left work earlier today and I must say getting back to the hotel while it’s still dark helps my mentality a bit, even though by the time I’m done typing this it will be light. I didn’t sleep much last night thanks to a heavily edited version of Cruel Intentions on one of the 5 American channels here. Yes, you just read that last sentence correctly, it might have been the film, but we can probably blame the excellent tea I had for breakfast. Regardless, I got about five hours last night, which proved to be not nearly sufficient for a 10 hour shift.
Well, that’s my story; yeah I said it was lame. The only thing more I have to comment on is that I never thought I’d be happier to see a live Astros versus Reds game live when I turned on the tele in my room. Currently it’s 3-1 ‘Stros in the top of the second thanks to a dead-armed Eric Milton, who looks a little Indian, which might be why this game is on.
Once again a big shoutout to CTown who represents all that is Lodge with the world.
See you tomorrow with hopefully something to write about.

Food:
Chinese Food in Mumbai, yes, tonight I was introduced to “gravy” on top of phenomenal fried rice and noodles served in sandwich baggies. Good heat, good flavor, fecal content? Well, you try not to think of that. I think they’re still open for take out Train.

Them Northern boys love their gravy.
I'd be more than a little scared of Chinese Food in Mumbai.
initially I was too...but almost 19 hours later I'm still rockin' it strong...I believe all sensititity is currently being eradicated from my body...Punisher Style!!!....
I just got a message from the producer of the Mitch in the morning show....they are going to call me during the 9 o'clock hour to be on the show for a few minutes.......
Shawn after this you might be too big for the Lodge... Just remember where you came from.
Chinese Gravy.... Hmmm, ok I'm in for a bowl...
remember to turn down your radio and not to say ummm too many times...
Give em hell Shawn.
I'm glued to KJR right now.
Goose, we will need your critique. Well at least for the ones who don't have access to 950 right now.
Just got off the radio.....sorry Train....I slammed you for picking Chakira to win it all.....
No worries... Just honored to be mentioned.
Now I'm pissed I missed it...
I was unable to mention the Lodge by name.....it would've been pretty cheap. We'll see what I can squeeze in at the party tonight though....
They asked me about my strategy, so I did mention the "office pool" and said I had a friend that picked Chakira to win it all. Then they asked if I laughed at that person....to which I said something like "yes...how could you not?" ....or something to that effect.
Ah the wonders of 405..Allowed me to listen to the whole interview
1st of all. Shawn. You were well spoken and entertaining...no ummms.
I could tell you were looking for a plave to plug the Lodge. Good work.
So here is what happened. Both Shawn and one of the other 1st place winners were there
Shawn was pretty funny. Refering to his best finish at 10000 place.
So mitch asked what his secret was and he refered to the "Dirty Old Man" Vote that the sports Book winner has stated. He then gave a minor plug of the "Office Pool" he joined (Note: You should have called it a Lodge Pool)
He even mentioned that on of his friends actually picked Shakira to Win (I immediately knew what moron that was) :)
When asked what he would do, Shawn Impressed me saying the Event may be more important than the Trip. While austrailia would be nice, Going to an Exclusive Event like the Masters would be amazing (I'll bet you go all 4 days Shawn...that was your only "Dumb Question Moment")
He also mentioned that the Britsh Open would be cool, and mentioning two Golf Trips gave Mitch a giant "Radio Woody"
I have plans tonight but I am tempted to have an all hands call to Acme Bowl to drill up support for Shawns Final 4 picks.
Shawn. You were definately the man on the radio, and you did well
Thanks.....I was just tryin' to piss Mitch off a little bit when I asked about the 4-day Masters pass.....I think it worked too.
I'm going to Bremerton for a reception and grand opening party this afternoon...but Melissa and I will be swinging by the Acme Bowl at about 7 pm to cast our votes. Who knows what might happen...but it's a lot of fun nonetheless.
I've got plans after work but will do my best to make it down to Acme by 7pm
give 'em hell!!!..I expect a descriptive post of the experience...included the champagne bath....
