Champions League Semi-Final
I promised a post on it. But yesterday as I was watching the game I felt fairly confident in the outcome. Chelsea had played like shite and Liverpool appeared to have the advantage going to Stamford Bridge in the 2nd leg. And then Riise made possibly the worst play of the year, my heart sank, screamed the phrase above, and stared at the screen for a long while. It's not over... but the stat that "Liverpool hasn't scored at Chelsea in the last 8 matches" doesn't exude confidence. [sigh]

Sometimes it's better to be lucky rather than good....
Yes, that was the second thing I thought of after the OG.
When you called, I could picture the group of you gathered at the Lodge cursing me and the Scouse during the length of the match... followed by hysterical laughter after Riise's blunder.
I expected the call.
That could actually be the word of the day I suppose.
I would actually like to submit that both teams played like SHITE...I have enjoyed trips to the dentist more than watching that match.
However, ranked in order of pure shite-ness as displayed on the pitch last evening:
1. Blues
2. Scouse
Here is to a second leg of hopefully less shite-like performances.
oh...the 2nd leg will almost certainly be worse...in fact I would not be surprised if the earth ceases to rotate after the first half...
when the phrase..."all you need to do is keep it 0-0" became reality in the 95' we were assured of the ultimate anti-football match...
