Seahawks walk into St Louis
Yesterday, the Seahawks went into St. Louis' Edward Jones Dome and took care of business. I just want to say the Rams defended their home turf like the St. Louis Cardinal of old, but that isn't the point of this blog. The Hawks went in there with a banged up squad and if karma wasn't enough, they left even more banged and bandaged. Usually with a game like this Bobby Engram and Darrell Jackson would have a great game, but the unlikely heros...DJ Hackett out of Colorado and JoJar out of Penn State. For Florida State fans, Peter Warrick wore his jersey and was an 'X' on the field during a few plays. I guess Holmgren thinks he still has Koren Robinson. But JoJar Binks had a great 9 catch afternoon and Hackett caught his first NFL pass. The defense got enough stops and Shaun had a stellar game even catching some balls out of the backfield. The question is: will this team play this flawlessly against the Cowboys or even the Texans on Primetime? For this fan, I hope so. Matty H. has had put together a great last 4 games (3-1) putting his team in position to win in all four games. Expectations are going to be high for this team now that they are in sole possession of first place in the NFC West. Please don't forget though that Bryce Fisher is a starting end and Marcus Trufant is a corner. I won't even mention people like Kelly Herdon who needs a road map out there to play defense. Well a sucessful Week 5 for the boys in Blue...let's keep it goin' boys!

Good win...not only on paper, but for confidence, NFL is a funny league...Hawks should be 4-1, playing 4 consecutive solid games from start to finish, only to have their kicker and balless OC cost them the Skins game...on the otherhand by all counts the Skins should be 1-3 after Notre Dame type wins @ Big D and vs. the Hawks...oh well, better to be good than lucky...and my personal favorite, better to be a fan of any other team than the Redskins...I will say this that (here comes the homer) if I see the Dallas D play the rest of the league like they did Philly, I like my chances even coming out of the NFC East, which looks like its getting back to its late 80's early 90's roots as the best division in the NFL...I smell a new post coming on
The top Divisions in the NFL would have to be the NFC EAST and THE AFC WEST.
