More Than Meets The Eye

Michael Bay just posted the following on his website....thoughts?

I know it has been a long time since I've poster here, sorry. I want to tell everyone my next movie is Transformers!!! I'm really excited about it. We have been drawing for nine months. The alien robots are awesome! The script is getting very close as well. Steve Spielberg has been very involved with me on the script, working with Kurtzman and Orci who just camm off of Mission Impossible 3. We start shooting at the end of may for a 7-4-7 release (How much do you want to bet the Fantastic Four will move after they see our stuff). We still have some mindblowing images and action in this film that I know will satisfy the deep fan base and turn non Transformer fans into one. The movie has real edge, humor and heart.
There are some rabid fans out there. I just found out that we had 9,456 attempted hacks into our server that holds the movie art work just in the month of January. I had that server disconnected today
I will keep you in the loop weekly -- Now that I just refigured how to log onto this site.

Thanks
Michael Bay

Personally, I think this is the perfect movie for a guy like him. All I want from this film is crazy visuals and a hell of a lot of robot fighting action. Plot be damned. I just want Optimus kicking the sh*t out of Megatron. I want soundwave running around shooting off that little bird thing in his chest. I want star scream to kill bumblebee. And if it's not too much to ask, go ahead and throw Sgt Slaughter and Snake Eyes in there for good measure. Sure, he's from GI Joe, but it would still be cool.

Anyway, I digress...this is going to be the mother of all popcorn movies.

nothing could be worse than the Transformer Movie that already exists...I've heard rumors about this already, is it live-action? I'm assuming so...but, the question on everyone's mind is...what the hell are you doing on Michael Bay's website? and you're give shit for Con-Air?

Thanks Jimmy for bringing that up, as that was my 1st thought as well.

What the hell were you doing on Bays web site besides tossing off to scripts of Armageddon and Bad Boys II?

First off, Michael Bay had nothing to do with Con-Air.
Secondly, I don't have anything against Con-Air, I was just questioning you giving it a seven on your 1-10 rankings.

I think Con-Air's actually quite entertaining...I just also think it's incredibly stupid.

Personally I've never been a huge fan of the number or star system, because it's all in how you look at it. Example
I give something Munich an 8, but I give Ferris Bueller a 9. Does that mean Munich is worse than Ferris? No...I weigh them differently. I'm going to be more critical of certain films than others.

Anyway...I'm rambling.

Yes, Jimbo, the Transformers movie is live action. And I must say...I LOVE the original Transformers movie. Although it's a little depressing that it was Orson Wells last film

that is not just a little, but really depressing, and the last time I watched it was the break between England/Brazil and Germany/USA in the last WC at about 3am waiting for the US game...needless to say I only remember a few things...

1) My Glycoma was acting up and I needed heavy doses of medication applied through hydroponic and steamrollin' methods
2) The combination of heavy doses of medication and 5 pitchers of Mac N' Jax does funny things to a man's actions
3)wasn't the original movie dealing with something called the Matrix, or didn't it have some tie-in w/ Neo almost 15 years later?
4) never caught the US game, but I did see the sun rise from the backyard outside as I picked my head up off the grass....

ahhh...World Cup

BTW. Between Jimbo, me and the MCP we have done all the posting today. Where the hell is Train, Joe, Shawon and the Dude?

Train's been in a training class for most of the day, although he was reading the lodge during his lunch hour.
Let's just chalk that up to him sucking.
I'm guessing Joe is trying to find something to nitpick in my Transformers post.
Seatown Shawn is probably just having a crazy day.
As for the Dude...well, the Dude abides, my friend. The Dude abides.

Shawon is here.....I guess I just felt the need to "observ" the Star Wars 3-way on the previous post.....and I hadn't seen the original transformers movie in a long, long time. I would be curious how this would play out as a live-action movie without being kind of cheesy looking....unless the budget was HUGE.

The lodge isnt for Observing. "Bring it" or suffer the fate of Lazlo. The only man removed from the Lodge.

Lazlo unfortunately was made the first official "Fall Guy", and he didn't even get a Lee Marvin plaque for it...although I did put together a nice thanks for playing basket...similar to the ones from Jeapordy, minus the removable Trebek mustache

Yes kids I have been in training all week long with the exception of a few hours.

I don’t think there would be any problem with a live action “Formers movie. You know the Bay will have an astronomical budget. I expect to see some nice casting in this one. Could we get Affleck and Harshnet to come back and give me a repeat permormance from Pearl? Maybe get some nice cameo’s from the GObots? I hope we also keep it to the original ‘Formers not get into the Dinobots or other crap that I saw in the stores as a teenager.

This begs the question when are we going to get a GI Joe movie….?

Work has been crazy today. Thus, the lack of posting. That and... oh, yeah, this post isn't interesting to me. There, I said it. I viewed it as Jayne geeking out like a Junior High girl at his own slumber party.

Joe, it's okay. I figured out why you've been such an ass lately, and I understand now.
From what I've seen on TV, herpe outbreaks aren't very fun, and would probably make the best of us a little bitchy. Just keep using those creams like your doctor says and you'll be experiencing a "Brand New Day" before you know it.

Well, you would know. Unfortunately, it's not herpes... I'm just a guy who likes to trash-talk and thus, is sometimes labled an ass. I've accepted it and moved on. Welcome to my cynical world view.
