Goose on the Road. Thoughts from the 407

Well here it is. My 1st official east coast blog entry done at 11:30 at night.

Lets start out with a little rundown of the day. It was pretty uneventful but some thoughts did come to mind.

8:45AM Left Seattle
I decided that since my flight was a long 6 hour trip, I was going to catch up on some TV. So I downloaded Season 1 of Lost on my IPOD.

I sum up my 1st 5 episodes in two words. Holy Crap

It has been a long time since a TV show hooked me in two episodes. I think Xfiles was the last show to make me an addict that quickly. What the hell is in the Jungle? What the hell did Kate do? Whats with Terry O'Quinn?

I have the TV off in my hotel room and im watching Lost on my IPOD. how sad is that?

5:15 EST. we land. the city of Orlando is all abuzz about alligator attacks. What the F%^&? Do I get hazzard pay for this? 3 deaths in the last week. They found a pair of arms inside an Alligator. A pair of FRICKIN ARMS!!!!!

Driving to the Hotel there are Billboards the whole way. Universal Orlando is Whoring itself to try to take down the Disney mega giant. The Billboard ratio is 10-1. 10 Unversal billboard to 1 Disney. Sad but Mickey Mouse is kicking SpiderMans ass regardless.

The Hotel has a Pirate Ship restaurant on the inside.
Can anyone truely look at a Pirate ship indoors and not think of the Goonies?
Once the though of the Goonies came to mind I found a Picture of the Goonies today. How Frickin Creepy.

Take a Look

Before

After

Anyway. Hopefully tommorrow will bring more excitement.

Hope the Lodge meeting went well and that someone bowled a perfect game

Goose....out from the 407

Well f'n done, Goose. Well f'n done. That's how you bring it... at midnight. You even mentioned the Bowling Lodge event that The Dude was a no-show for. (More on this tomorrow...) You were there in spirit, Mother Goose.

top-notch blog reporting as usual Mother Goose...and we missed you last night, but at least you were a six hour plane ride away, not three minutes via auto...

Here is a little tid bit on the Goonies. My sister went to Astoria, Oregon earlier this year or it might have been last summer I can’t really remember but anyway the were having a 20 year Anniversary party for the movie which was filmed in Astoria they had a tour of the Mikey’s house and Mikey’s fathers museum. . Then they showed the movie later that night. My sister said that the majority of the cast was there and she even met Chunk. Who I think is a lawyer now. She said good times were had by all.

My sister watched that movie literally every day after school for the first 10 years of her life

If you want to see more of the cast, check out the DVD. The disc has a multi angle audio commentary (which means there's a mini-window on the screen showing them recording the commentary) with the entire cast + Richard Donner.

Plus on the deleted scenes you get the fabled "Octopus Scene" & there's also the "Good Enough" Cyndi Lauper video featuring Andre the Giant, Rowdy Roddy Piper & the Iron Shiek...good stuff!

Nice, WWF in it's prime. Cindy must have had a thing for wrestling. I think Captain Lou Albano was in one of her other videos

Yeah, he's also in the "Good Enough" video...Steven Spielberg even makes a cameo (as do all the Goonies)...

Albino is also in the "Girls Just want to have fun video"
