World Cup Correspondent
I'm not sure I like calling Chewie our mascot, when I look at him more like a brother in arms, Dire Straights syle. Anyhoo... here's the pic. With the 2006 World Cup starting up in just a few days, Chewbacca is already in Germany as the Lodge's media correspondent.

Why does Mascot have such a negative connotation for you 2.0? Would you prefer spokesman? figurehead? El Presidente`?
Not sure... maybe it's because crappy mascot's like the Stanford Tree have tarnished what a mascot used to stand for.
like when they were the Stanford Indians...now that's a mascot I can get behind...
I love that Alexi Lalas is getting some Lodge face time. He was a great backline player for the US.
He was the Original Poster boy/badass before Cobi Jones and then Donovan.
there's nothing badass about either Kobi Jones or Donovan...in fact that's what the US squad is missing...the Sol Campbell's...the Freddie Ljumberg's the entire Italian Squad...the Dirty Sanchez...
