WR Anyone?
Surprising news coming from the NFL rumor mill. Apparently the disgruntled New England Patriots wide receiver Deion Branch has reached an agreement with the New York Jets and an unnamed NFC team for a contract extension. And that unnamed NFC team could be your Seattle Seahawks. This makes me think that Darrell Jackson's injury is worse than we originally thought.
Branch is a talented guy. I guess the Hawks can afford him, so why not upgrade the position. Especially with Jackson on the mend. What do ya'll think? Good move if Seattle pulls it off? Or let the "J-E-T-S, Jets! Jets! Jets!" deal with the drama of a WR whose ego just played himself off the 3 time World Champions of New England. Interesting rumors. Personally, I'd welcome the addition. Branch gives you more talent at the receiver position & you know he can play in a team concept because he played for Bill Belichick for the past 4 years.

I would love to have an addition like Branch. It would shore up the WR position. I dont think it will get done though.
If D-Jack is in that bad of shape, than I am totally for this trade. We really need a #1 receiver and would feel good about this aquisition.
What does damage my calm though is the fact that I just drafted him in my work fantasy league.
once again proving that Pemco employees will single-handedly bring down Fantasy Football
I dont know if the price tag is worth it
New England is seeking a first-round pick and perhaps a middle-round choice as well. Smith reported that league sources have indicated that the Patriots are looking to receive two No. 1 draft picks for their leading receiver
Goose, I agree that a first round pick is definitely not worth it. But I can't see the Seahawks or any team giving up a first. A 2nd? Maybe.
The Patriots issued a two-sentence statement on Friday afternoon, which read, "No trade has been consummated. Deion Branch remains under contract to the New England Patriots." The team had no comment on the grievance.
this is almost as bad as Owen Hargraves staying with Bayern Munich...almost
KRJ just reported that the Patriots rejected both the Jets and Seahawks offers
I love that Casey can't read other peoples posts and then tries to be a newsbreaker by misspelling KJR.
This just in...the hawks release Peter Warrick...so now the WR is a bigger concern if D-Jack doesn't come back!
Look at the Dude checking in on the weekend. Welcome back, Dude. Hopefully I'll see you at Bumbershoot today.
