The 7 Wonders of the World

I didnt know that only 1 of the original 7 wonders of the World was still standing. There is a website now trying to change and create a new group of 7 Wonders. My poll to the Lodge. Do they change? And if so. What are your Top 5 Choices for the new Seven Wonders. (And no Train, Scarlett Johansson cannot be one of them)

The finalists are listed on the Webpage. How many of these have any of the Lodgemates visited? There is only one american site chosen...17 Statue of Liberty, New York.

Yes I know this is off topic for Gosse, buy hey. Sometimes you have to change the flava.

Should there be others?

I don't think that the idea here is to promote "changing" the 7 wonders of the world to a "new" 7.......it's more the idea that, just like you pointed out, there is only 1 of the original 7 still standing. That's because they were the 7 wonders of the "ancient" world. Now, they are coming up with a new list that may be called "7 wonders of the modern world"....or something like that.

I heard about this on the radio yesterday....and I have to completely disagree with the inclusion of more than a few of these......I'll list my top 7 in a few minutes after I grab some coffee.

Well...this is going to take some more time than I thought.

I will say though, that Machu Picchu and the Great Wall of China should be a lock...

My vote: Petra (Indiana Jones, come on), Stonehenge (if for nothing else setting up one of the best jokes in Spinal Tap), Great Wall of China (it set up the Skateboarder who lept over it), Mayan Temples, Wrigley Field, Pogey Tavern and the Lodge...

In COMPLETELY unrelated news......I just WON a frickin' radio contest because I just happened to be in the car and know who Charlie Murphy is......so I got a pair of tix to the Real Men of Comedy tour on Sunday.

I know...it's not Powerball or anything....but it's still pretty effin' sweet in this man's opinion.....

I've got an incredible radio story to tell sometime......but not now. Let's just say it landed my wife and I in a private recording studio with Dave Matthews and about 15 other people.
