Seawhawks vs Cardinals

Alright...here's the deal:
A buddy of mine is heading down to Vegas this weekend, and I want to put a bet down on the hawks game. Consulting the lodge worked really well last year, so lets try it again.

Pop quiz hotshot:
The Seahawks are playing in Arizona this Sunday. The current spread has the Seahawks winning by 2.5 points. The over/under is set at 42.5.

What do you do? What do you do?

As much as I WANT the Hawks to win this game...I just won't be surprised if they lose.

AZ is coming off a tough/ugly loss...and this is their home opener. They will be UP for this game. 2.5 is a shitty number. I would take the UNDER.

Just my .02

I'm with you CTown...typically home underdogs should be highlighted and red flagged...you should always get three points at home in the NFL, so I think this line is not good for the Hawks...

my take...AZ and the points and I'd actually take the OVER...I predict this to be somewhere in the 27-21 range...

Aahhhh...and that's why it's the NFL....because who really knows?

I do think that the Seahawks will play hard to avenge their loss down there last season.

....and our DEFENSE looked G-O-O-D last week.

Should be interesting.

1st home game for AZ and a little upheavel in the Seattle Locker Room will make for a distracted team. Take AZ and the Under AZ 24 Seattle 13

This pains me to hear. I'm not sure I can actually bet on my team losing. It just doesn't feel right.

Think of it this way...If Hawks lose...you get money...if Hawks win, you lose money, but still have happiness..

I'd lay off that game all together...I think there's a couple of games you should look at:

Indy -7 at TENN (46.5 +/-)Tenn could test the Indy D-line and rack up a lot of rushing yards and keep P-E-Y off the field ad 7 is a lot in the NFL

NO-3 at TB (42 +/-) see Hawks notes about rebound perfomances and never, ever underestimate a coach on the hot seat (see last three years of Jim Fassell in NY)

at Baltimore -10 vs. NYJ (33.5 +/-)

Can someone tell me what Vegas saw in the Ravens Monday Night that would give them this spread? I'm not even sure Baltimore can score Ten points and The Jets have enough to keep this close...depends on if the Duck Clemons is playing though

Upset of the Week:

at Carolina-6.5 vs. Houston trust me on this one...

It's not what the Vegas eyes saw in the Ravens....rather what they DIDN'T see in the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets!

Umm... I feel like I'm Will Ferrell in Zoolander... IS EVERYBODY TAKING CRAZY PILLS!?!

It's the Arizona Cardinals, people. I'd take the Hawks even with a 2.5 pt spread. They'll win this game by 5+ even in Zona.

And if you have to bet the over/under... take the over... it'll be a shootout.

Welp, if you took the over you'd have gotten it by a half of a point. And the rest of the Lodge was right in Arizona winning the game and covering the 2.5 points. I wasn't able to watch the game thanks to the LA area having the DAL @ MIA game on Fox. Thanks, LA.

Live from bawhston.....

Went to Fenway last night. Couldn't get in but I saw enough. The rivalry is friggin intense. The Stadium is far different from what I thought it would be.

Best shirts I saw.

Clemens is a bag of sh!t and Jeter sucks AROD.

we watched the game with both Boston and NY fans at a pub. It was a great experience.

I've got a nice post brewin'

Later, I'm off to Harvard yawd....

Ummm...I don't really want to brag about this, but I will and this is going to lead to a regular Friday post where you will have the opportunity to bet against my Picks of the Week, if you would've gone with me last week you would've pulled in good booty for:

at Carolina-6.5 vs. Houston trust me on this one...no one did and see what happened?

at Baltimore -10 vs. NYJ (33.5 +/-)
--this wasn't my pick I just had to point out why Baltimor got 10, which I guess was warranted

NO-3 at TB (42 +/-) ...ummm 31-14 later, nuff said

Indy -7 at TENN (46.5 +/-)...22-20, once again nuff said

.750 winning percentage first week, we'll see how this goes from here

So that was a worst case scenario. I took Goose's advise and bet on Arizona & the under. I lost money & the hawks lost.

Ahhhh Vegas...you're a cruel mistress, but I still love ya.
