The Mother of All Super bowl Parties VIII...(The official invite)
Back in 1982... the Redskins made the Super Bowl, and Goose's Mom hosted her 1st Super Bowl party... We had all of our Redskin friends over, decorated the house and mom made a Big pot of Spaghetti and Meatballs using the old family recipe.
A young Goose noticed something... after the initial meal was eaten all the guys went back to the kitchen...grabbed a big roll and filled it with Meatballs, thus creating the 1st Super Bowl Meatball Sandwich...
Flash forward. It's now 2008, and it is now time for the Gooses 8th annual Mother of all Super Bowl Parties.
It started with Brian Billick and the 2000 Ravens, lasted through the NE Dynasty, the Tampa Bay rout, the Rain game of 2007 and yes... even a Hose Job by the Steelers.
I need RSVP's on who is coming. Please comment if you are planning on attending.
Again as always all food is provided, however things you can bring.
Bring your own Beer... I always have some, but there is always room for more.
If you would like we are always accepting donations for the Nest Bar....Last year was a Banner year for Tequilas, this year could be a great wild card year.
Sunday Feb 3rd
Pregame Festivities start at 1:00pm
See you all there.

I will be there...however my better half will be else where...it will be just me!
I'm more jealous than MCP looking into the window of his local comic book store at Radioactive Man #1.
I will be there. Just like the Dude, it will be a party of one.
I was fortunate enough to attend a pre-Seattle version of MOASBP in 1998, when Elway finally got off the schnied.
Make sure to dine on all of the finest meats and cheeses in the land!
Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend due to some scheduling conflicts this weekend. I am fully submerged in home improvement issues with only a few moments to spare...and I have been informed of another obligation for the SB Sunday afternoon.
So, that's a long way of saying that I'm out. I will dearly miss the Jalapeno poppers and Meatball subs.
....dammit...just typing that made my mouth water....
You mean the day the City of Denver Exhaled? The Lovato household was forever changed that day. We were winners... THIS ONES FOR JOHN!!.. I gotta stop. I'm gettin' All Vermiel.
Seatown...This is a holy of holy day!!! You cant have other activities planned
Hey D-Money...did Moms make the famous Meatballs for Elways finest moment?
You need to find that Elway Prayer you wrote that morning...that was classic
Hey shoot me an email or call me...we havent talked in a while
I'll be there also and driving the bus down from the West-side w/ plenty of Cheap Domestic Lager...
signed...18-1
Seatown...you are the only one wussing out, except Duke who has new fatherly responsibilities, and MCP who is MIA and hasnt been seen or heard from since 2007.
Im not even accepting Hollywood 2.0's excuse that he is in California. Get on a plane and get yo a$$ to the Northwest.
Seatown = Wuss.
Thanks for the update Goose. I'll check back in when your opinion matters.
Let's just say that will be awhile.
I only put "Wuss" as a more gentle word for how you are acting. There were other words that I was thinking of using...I'll apologize for that when you stop acting like a total schmuck....
Let just say THAT will be a while....ok?
I'll try and act as peacemaker (ala Clooney) and translate what just happened:
Goose was kidding when he said you were wussing out.
Shawn stepped over the line.
Goose now isn't kidding.
Let's bring it all in and hug it out... eh, fellas!?!
That's actually an argument that I would love to hear. Let me know when you have assembled the evidence and I'll give Joe Brown a call.
What line did I step over Hollywood? By bringing back a line of smack talk that was used a few weeks ago? ....clever, if anything. Over the line? No.
I'm all for some hugs...but everyone should enjoy a good amount of trash talking....especially on the frickin' blog, eh?
I apologize if any of you guys that should know me well enough by now, actually thought I was being an ass. I reserve that type of commentary for after 11:59 pm on any given weeknight when high volumes of ale have been imbibed.
Hollywood Translation...Its like a "Rosetta Stone Software Sales Pitch"....Has moments of Truth, but mostly full of crap"
Couple of things to remember here....
1) I actually GOT Seatowns re using of his little catch phrase from a few weeks ago and thought it was funny...
2) I then decided to adapt his phrase and use it against him (Aka the "Schmuck Retort")
3) When Goose is mad...he uses words much stronger than Schmuck...So all is good with Seatown, Im now mad at 2.0...what an Ass!!!
Joe...in your pic...are you in a field of Pansies? Just curious
Nope... tulips. I'm Dutch, moron. Glad to hear you guys are back to greasing each other.
Shawn, are you going to Spring Training this year?
Goose....I actually re-used your comment...not mine....just happy you noticed.
2.0 - yes! The countdown has begun. I will be living the good life in Scottsdale from March 7th - March 16th. (36 days, 13 hours & 54 minutes away from right now...)
Hopefully the M's will have a new #1 to check out....
Nice. How long a drive is it from LA to Scottsdale?
Two things:
1. Yes, I am indeed alive, although I am buried in a mountain of work right now (New jobs=awesome. Crazy deadlines=bull@#$%)
2. Sadly I'm going to have to miss the MOASBP this year. Yes. I do indeed suck.
Hopefully I'll be able to get some posting soon. I have a Top 10 flicks of 07 an Oscar post & a WGA post in the works (although at the rate I'm going the strike will be over by the time I get around to it)
Northern LA/Pasadena to Scottsdale = Roughy 5 - 6 hours....depending on traffic and speed.
