I have the honor of being able to Post the centennial. The #100 post according to the Blogger page.

Lets make this one short and brief. Im up early this morning and attending a 9am funeral. I'll take a brief moment and reflect. This as well as the Tony Dungy tragedy does cause reflection, It cant be helped.

We complete another year.
Jimmy deserves mad props for starting the Blog. Getting us all talking daily again more than an AIM Chat Room where thinking up the title at 6am was really the only burst of creativity. Kudos to Jimbo Maverick Edwards.

We added a new amigo in the MCP. Who has shown that he brings it on a day to day basis. Honestly. Poly Brown, Meat, many have sat in his chair. But I challenge to find one that has brought it daily.

We all were able to witness the Marriage and rebirth of Joe 2.0. Much like the Lawnmower Man, It is possible that this Joe 2.0 will eventually need to be destroyed. But until then.....

We witnessed a young Man getting his equivalent to the Top Gun Trophy, his College diploma. Congrats Jimmy

We witnessed some big breakups. Brad and Jen, Toby and Renee, and the finality of Sierra and Jordan. Train. You stood tall. And we will all stand by you in this new chapter. Plus you did your civic duty. although Im still REALLY Skeptical about this Foreman thing.

As for Mother Goose.
I offer a great deal of thanks to a great group of friends. To Train and Joe, Jimbo and the Dude. To Jen, Erika and Megan. To 6+ years of good friendships, lots of laughs, a rockin trip to Vegas, 2 marriages, 2 Gosslings, multiple jobs, and Trains Ass hurting and not knowing why.

Heres to the A-team.

Happy Holidays all! And here is an F-Off to the politically correct. Merry Christmas.

Well done, Goose. It was a memorable year in the Elenbaas household. And throughout all of the employment turmoil and the recent matrimony, the A-Team has stood by Joe 2.0, and I appreciate that more than you know. Merry Christmas, fellas.

I echo Joe 2.0 words. I have to give thanks to all of the Lodge for sticking by me. I couldn't ask for better friends.

I know the Goose has to stradle the fence with Sierra and I.. You do it with such grace.

Jimbo and The Dude have made life on the West side memorable. I'll play NCAA with you guys anytime.

Joe 2.0 you were there not there and back again with upgrades. It was a great year for you and I am so happy for you and Jen.

MCP/JAYNE/CASEY - I couldn't ask for a better cube mate. You get me through the day with your useless knowlege of movies and comics. You've taken me on my first step to a larger world....

Goose...great post...like any collaboration that works you need everyone to bring something different to the group in order for it to work...for that I am thankful...when I started this, I wasn't sure it was going to work...our lives since ELink have gotten a little bigger and little more complex...but that was the reason I thought it would work...I'm not sure anymore what life was like before being able to give a top 5 on topics such as zombie films and players not in the HOF...as proven yesterday the Lodge is everyone's and I might be the one responsible for its birth, but this baby's being raised by the best of the best...now that being said, here's a couple of things I've been thinking about for next year:

1) addition-I don't want to get a roll call of a cast of million's, but I welcome any audition for people you think would fit the Lodge mold...everyone here knows how it operates...so I trust judgement...except of you Joe 2.0

2) expansion-this requires some more HTML/Java knowledge which I'm planning on dedicating myself to, but anybody is welcome to help out with ideas or applications

a) I'd like to get some archiving going with recurring posts such as: HOF friday, Movie Recommendation, That-Guy Wed (when it returns) and of course Thursday's most important business...

b) graphics...be nice to expand the dimensions of the Lodge and perhaps throw it on it's own URL out in the cruel harsh world of the WWW...expand photo's and links

That's just ssome idea's I've been kicking around...no real hurry for them, but it might be cool...let me know who's interested

and last here's my thanks list along with what you mean to the Lodge:

Goose-definitely the heart/soul of the Lodge, you sir have a knack for perception on the big picture that I think we all admire, the big brother of the Lodge that keeps us all in check

Train-for the passion of the Lodge, who else can I look to for in depth analysis on Monkey's in movies...the Denver sports scene...opinions on this month's Playboy...and allow me to knock pictures off the wall and throw bottles in your apartment...thanks for the calm demeneor...that's your meal ticket

MCP-dude, don't know what to give you, so I'll you the little voice inside the collective Lodge head...you signed on knowing there would be 85% sports talk, and you came along anyway...now, you're molding the Lodge in directions previously unvisited...I look forward to having you out on one of the Lodge's on-site Thursday's so I can start a debate on Rob Zombie after uber-whiskey and PBR

Joe 2.0...here's to the wise-ass/consciousness of the Lodge...I must say I haven't seen redemtion like this since Johnny T. in Pulp...you've definitely earned your roster spot back...and I'm glad to have another addition to the Marriage fraternity after losing Train...we all missed you for a while, and just when we thought that we could write you off...you pull us back in...here's to you brother

Duder-not much to say here since your body of work really can't speak for itself, but I'll have to give you the effort award(yes this is given to the last guy picked for kickball)...perhaps one of these days after a permanent job and when you finally decide to purchase one of those "computer-things" for your home, we can see the expansive posts I know you're capable of...but, that being said, the Lodge couldn't be done w/o you...
"We need you. Hell, I need you. I'm a mess without you! I miss you so damn much. I miss being with you, I miss being near you. I miss your laugh. I miss your scent; I miss your musk. When this all gets sorted out, I think you and me should get an apartment together!"

Lazlo-the imaginary friend of the Lodge...the child of Lodge couldn't get along with out you...

Well I'm sitting up at 2 o'clock on Christmas morning and I thought the one thing I need to check out is the Lodge. I know I don't have steady posts but perhaps that can be my New Years resolution. I vow to do a better job. I may not post daily but hopefully they will be quality post.

Another year...it makes you think what the year ahead has...or what the year has brought you.

Jimbo - for the guy who created this monster...quite the idea. You are a true friend...the friend that would pick this guy for kickball. It was an honor to watch you graduate and progress this year!

Jordan - I wish this year will grow into something better than last year had in mind. Jordan it's great to have you on the Westside! You bring a lot to the lodge!

Goose - Football guru, friend, and elder statesman of the group. Your opinions and thoughts are always appreciative.

MCP = Movie reviewer and comic extradinaire - you expand the lodge to something more than just sports.

Joe 2.0 - Joe, quite a year for you...you came to the lodge, went into witness protection and then you came out and got married. Great party, glad I could be there to witness history.

Lazlo - you are like Mr. Snuppleupagus in Sesame Street, you can only been seen by one person. The rest of us only hear of you but can't see you...

As for me, jobwise, frustration. I did get two great things this year. A great girl in Maude (Meghan), and a new nephew who is the best. Like I aaid, I will do better in the year ahead. Lookin' forward to 2006.
