Introducing the Pete Carroll face. Newly minted for your viewing pleasure ….

Sports guy has a nice running commentary on the game and Coach Fredo.

Highlight: 8:30 -- Fouts compares Bush to Barry Sanders AND Walter Payton on the same exciting 10-yard run. And you know what? It worked. I was thinking the same thing. I watched a record (for me) 10 college football games this year, including seven USC games, and only because of Reggie Bush. He's so close to Gale Sayers in so many ways, I would almost be afraid to be a white fullback on his NFL team next year.

What was funny was how many of the comments were mirrored in our own gathering

8:58 -- All right, is there a dumber sports rule than "If your knee hits the ground, the play is over ... even if if you weren't touched" in college football? That's right up there with "You can't just intentionally walk someone, you have to throw four balls," "You don't get an extra foul for overtime," "You can call a timeout while you're in midair" and "You aren't allowed to punch A-Rod in the face during a game" in the pantheon of Dumb Rules That Only Make Sports Less Fun.

9:48 -- Just thought of something: Where do you think O.J. Simpson is watching this game?

Making fun of sideline reporter Holly Rowe

Too funny. we should record our next gathering and transcribe it in a blog

I'm down with writing a transcription of the next game on our blog also, I'm just afraid we'll all have too many drinks and/or trash talking fights to write the highlights down with any coherency.

Carroll solidifying his claim as the most overrated coach in the country is my highlight of the game last night. My favorite line from the SG:

12:25 -- Just a classic ending to Carroll's postgame interview with Todd Harris:

-- Harris: "At the very end of the game, you had a timeout, did you want to save one timeout if they had scored?"

-- Carroll (rattled): "Yeah, we had a little problem, we had to go for two right there ... but, eh, you know ... we didn't get it done."

(In the words of Brian Fantana, "Take it easy, Champ. Why don't you stop talking for awhile?")

The sports guy points out something I aslo had a problem with, Matt Leinart and his after the game sound bite

I thought it was a classless comment on his part. " I think we were the better team, they just made some plays at the end". I figured a guy like him would have something better to say

and that's it folks...you just witnessed the peak of Carroll, Bush and Lienart in one 60 min game...never again will anyone of the three of them have the same sucess...and for Lienart...get ready for the Scott Mitchell lines...in fact I think a few Lion, Dolphin and Bengal fans have brought the old number 19 out of the closet...
