Al Michaels Traded
What do you think about ABC/ESPN, aka The Walt Disney Company, trading Al Michaels for golf and a bunny? I mean, if ESPN wanted to go a different direction with their MNF broadcasts & keep Theismann & some twits instead of Michaels & Madden, you'd think they'd have the respect for two broadcasting legends and let them go without a trade. Just an interesting subject I saw this morning. Any thoughts on the move? What about the new MNF team?

Not sure about the new MNF team right now. Tony Kornhole really gets me mad when I read his stuff sometimes....but that might make him a great announcer if he just tells it like it is.
I'm going to stay skeptical about the new MNF.
But I am glad that Al Michaels and John Madden are still a duo. I think they make a good team.
I'm w/ you MCP on the Sunday night team...and I'm really happy about Theisman and Maguire splitting up...by far the WORST F'N broadcast pairing since Dierdorf and Gifford...I like Tirico, but he doesn't bring the big game voice like Michaels (THE voice of MNF)...and what's up w/ the Ryder Cup Trade and the Pre-Depression Era cartoon figure?...this is absolutely absurd...only the world of Disney and possibly GM would operate like this...my opinion of the WW Leader is steadily dropping daily...
oh yeah....and I'll Wilbon 7 days a week and 20x on Sunday before I'd ever take overrated-Korny(who qualifies w/ Hack-Tackular as the grumpy old man from SNL...and that's the way I like it!!!) hell, I'd take f'n Max Kellerman or Stat-Boy before I'd take Korny...
Kornheiser is just like Statler & Waldorf on the Muppets if you ask me. He's a friggin Muppet. I'm down with Wilbon. But Wilbon is too good of a writer to want to do broadcasting of live games.
I have to say, Michaels can give you an Olympic feel, much like hearing Costas...although, not a huge fan of Costas either, but when he is on NBC I think Olympics. I think that Madden Michaels are a good team. Not a huge fan Tirico. We'll have to see how things go, and it will take a couple of weeks before the jury comes back. Hey they had two years of Dennis Miller on MNF before they decided to do anything about it.
