Saturday Night All In

This coming Saturday night the Queen is going to be away with seatownshawn's fiancé for a girls night out. Basically, it's the perfect time for a Lodge gathering at my place. I can show off my extremely small apartment, we can play some poker, and do other guy things like watch baseball & smoke stogies on the patio while discussing sports & hot cartoon chicks.

So here are the details... 5 buck buy-in, 6:05pm first pitch (which probably means around 7, but early enough to get 2 games in comfortably, so bring two Abe Lincoln's), coincidently coinciding with Félix Hernández's first pitch for the M's that night. I have poker chips & whiskey, but you'll have to bring your own beer if that's your drink of choice. I'm thinking we can order pizza for everyone except The Dude (sorry, lactose boy!). So in honor of another poker binge, below is a helpful starting hand guide from Phil Gordon... study up, kids!

Suited Hands

Unsuited Hands

And why can't Papa Lovato come out to a Lodge gathering? Sounds like the perfect fit.

Alright, looks like I'm going to have to include The Pale guys in the poker games, since most of the Lodge is ditching out on manly things for wedding and sh!t.

please use the following phrase when describing members of the Lodge gathering together: weak f'n sauce!

I might be able to round up Big Papi for a round of poker, he was a pretty good stud poker man back in the day... don't cross him or you might be fitted for a Columbian neck tie.

I'll check with the Gander. The woman formally known as Mrs Jordan Lovato is in town so she might be getting together with the Gander.

I could always attend poker with the Gosslings. Not the most family freindly enviroment, but it will give them a solid head start in life.

Gosslings always have the best poker faces...this is a proven fact...

If Vegas can be Family Friendly I think the 2.0's casa can accommodate the Gosslings.

When was I married? I dont recall this...

Goose, you could bring the Gosslings, if they don't complain about watching baseball & playing poker. I'm not really exaggerating about the size of my apartment. Very, very small. 1 Bedroom. Your choice... I'd encourage it if the weather is nice. If it is, you should bring them up early (say around 4-5PM) and we could walk across the street to the park and let them play for a couple of hours.

So, is a typical day at the Elenbaas house just like an episode of "Tiny House"?

This is Awesome.....

Train, you obviously didn't click the "extremely small apartment" link at the top of my post. Yes, it's small. Basically I'm tempering your expectations since my place can only fit about 10 people semi-comfortably.

Joe, I knew what the link was without having to look... You love the Tiny House.

I believe I heard the words "this is Awesome" about 5,000 after you first saw the commercial. This is as much your trademark as is offering Kevin Ape's in every trade... That my Friend is your legacy.

Fonz be with you........

Dude and I heard a great quote from Peter Griffin last night...

"It's like having sex with Kobe Bryant. No matter all the kicking and screaming you do it's gonna happen"...

That's my thought of the day
