Cinco de Mayo

Tonight the wife and I are meeting up at the Greenlake Tacos Guaymas around 5PM to down a few margaritas in celebration of Cinco de Mayo. Yes, the 5th of May. I've always liked the number five. Plus, celebrating freedom & liberty is a good thing in any language. Ya'll are invited to join us.

El Cinco de Mayo is a national celebration in Mexico. It commemorates the victory of Mexican forces led by General Ignacio Zaragoza over the French expeditionary forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. If you want to read a little more history on the Mexican holiday, check it here. Viva la Revolution!
