Greatest Switch hitters

I have to tell this story. One of those Proud Pappa moments in life.

Last week in his 1st Tee Ball practice. RJ lines up for his 1st practice at Bat. The coach lines him up right handed. RJ Delivers a sharp line drive through the hole at second, prompting the coach to smile at a solid right handed hitter in his lineup.

He goes through for his second at Bat. The coach instructs him to line up in a right handed stance. Goose tells the coach to try hitting him left.

RJ goes up and smacks a lefty power shot all the way into the outfield.
The coach looks at him and realizes, solid from the right, power from the left.
The birth of a switch hitter.

If only this kid knew how to catch.
You all can say you knew him when....
Games start next Saturday. Scouts are welcome to attend.

Mantle, Chipper, Murray, Serling?

Sweet. Love that story. Let the Lodge know when the T-Ball league schedule comes out and we might have to bring a cooler out to the little league ballpark... can you drink at little league games? Put them in cozy's?

A tee ball outing...I'd be down for that!!! Great switchhitters make it tough for opposing pitchers down the road...

Don't forget Varitek or Mickey Tettleton for great switch hitters.
