Rubbin' is Racing...
In honor of the those in the Lodge fortunate enough to check out the hot new freshness about Southern Livin' and Southern Racing... I give you the link to ESPN's top 10 NASCAR films of all-time: ...and check it out, 2.0's role as Dale Jr. starts the list off at #10...my personal favorite on the list is Stroker Ace at #6, I hope Burt has a couple more racing movies left in him....
(because we need to have a least one post today)
Oh yeah...and it's Kevin Smith's birthday...he has nothing to do with NASCAR other than smoking Marb Lights and having a liking for f' bombs...which does give him honorary Lodge status, and if not for that...creating one of the Lodge's most repeated phrases...and no, it's not ...well Brodie, how else was I going to get the gerbal out?...but the immortal line capturing the greatest Hockey team of all time...breakfasts come and go Renee, but Hartford...the Whale...they only beat Vancouver, once maybe twice in a lifetime
Happy Birthday Fat-Ass

Nice, Jim. Your presence will be missed at tonight's viewing. To continue the video clip highlights of Classic Ferrell... here is a special Dubya impression showcasing Ferrell's talent.
Will Ferrell playing as George W. Bush. I believe this premiered on MoveOn.org back in 2004. Will does a fantastic job of portraying "W", capturing the child within.
I know the lodge frowns upon me reviewing new flicks you guys haven't seen yet, so I'll keep it brief:
Talladega Nights
Really funny, but not as good as Anchorman. The film feels a little sloppy in places, almost like I was watching a rough cut of the film.
Still, there are some seriously funny moments, and I'm sure it will supply multiple quotes that will float around the lodge for quite a while.
Gary Cole, Sacha Baron Cohen & John C Reily deserve special shoutouts.
Kudos to the filmmakers for casting Amy Adams. She's a hot spicy Junebug number.
spicy Junebug number....MCP likes the sauce...
I think we all like the sauce. In many different ways.
MCP has a big crush on the chick... I almost lost it when he was talking about her today...
"did you know Jesus was a Jew"
VIVA LA REVOLUTION!
MCP. Did you blow off the Train last night? Sad....Very Sad
I don't like the sound of that Goose
I didn't blow him off...I told him "I might be able to score an extra pass to Talladega nights, and that I'd let hime know".
The next thing I know he's posting on the lodge that I'm taking him.
...smeg head.
Nice Red Dwarf reference, Casey.
What did you think of Junebug? It's in my Netflix queue, but buried down towards the bottom. Does it deserve to be bumped up?
Speaking of Red Dwarf, did you hear about the Craig Charles (Lister) drug scandal. A newspaper published pictures of him smoking crack out of a redbull can. He got fired from a TV show he's on over there and checked into rehab.
As for Junebug, it's a very slight flim. I really, really enjoyed it, but I wouldn't necessarily consider it a "must see".
I didn't hear about that. Gotta link?
you think Lister can segue this into a "Red Bull and Crack give you wings followed by a junkie nap" adverstisement campaign?
Here's the story that broke the whole scandal:

And here's the pic:

or here for the Story and here for the pic
what I love about the story, is not that he was smoking crack...but that the Brits couldn't believe he hit it 60x in 4 hours?...I'd love to be the guy who kept track of each one...shouldn't Charles be asking for money back...because where I come from, you hit it 60x in 4 hours...you'd be dead 2 hours ago...
Three Words:
Shake and Bake.
Really dissappointing. I think they set the bar too high with Anchorman that no matter what they put out, it would be a dissappointment.
I own "Larry Bird: A Basketball Legend" on VHS.
I have a great post about last nights viewing of TN-TBORB, but Im having issues uploading a photo...and believe me it is needed to tell the story...so stay tuned
Goose, did you get what you needed from me?
I've stopped using Bloggers photo updload...if you want I can give you a tutorial on how to manually enter...
also...the Lodge has been around too long for this to be the first Larry Legend photo of the day...I was quite embarrassed this morning...
