I don't really have much to bring to the table on this story. I just thought that it had to be posted due to all of the Star Trek fans in The Lodge. It definitely speaks for itself.
You see, their young enter through the ears and wrap themselves around the cerebral cortex. This has the effect of rendering the victim extremely susceptible to suggestion. Later as they grow follows madness and death.

I had nightmares of that scene with Kahn when I was a kid. I'm still not found of things in my ears thanks to taht damn bug.
the bug didn't scare my as much as Los Sandpeople...yeah that's right...I'm anti-Sandpeople...no I'm not a biggot...
