Steaming Stoops
Looks like the dust is still refusing to settle on the fiasco that happened at Autzen stadium. The University of Oklahoma is considering canceling their upcoming games with the PAC 10 unless the conference deals with the glaring replay errors.
I am sure most of us have seen the disputed plays on TV over the past few days. They are so obvious to the naked eye that the phrase "there's something rotten in Denmark needs to be changed to "Somethings rotten at Autzen and it ain't the cheerleaders". I don't know if the Lodge might want to look into an investigation but people have been paid and lives have been changed. I'm no fan of the Sooners but hell when a conspiracy that could go all the way to Phil Knight and Ahmad Rashad I think this is where the Lodge PI division needs to get down to Eugene.
Now OK has gone a little overboard saying that the game should be stricken from the record books. We have to remember they were the ones that were 14 points up and lost the game. Still the school has a valid point. How is this going to effect the rest of the season? Should the voters give the Sooners some slack on the loss? Should Oregon and the PAC 10 be asked to field non conference officials at all there non conference games? I know it's Oregon we are talking about but this effects every team even the Buffs who actually could use those officials at there up coming game against Georgia. Yes Joe O-4 is on the horizon.

Did OU get hosed...yes...but move on...it's not the end of the world and you weren't a national title contender anyway.
Instead of complaining Stoops, see if you can fix the problem so you won't complain when you come up to Montlake next year and lose.
My question, that I can't find the answer to anywhere... is does the Big 12 use Big 12 officials for non conference home games? Anybody know?
I think most conferences have a similar policy.
Big 12 officials worked the UW game in Norman a couple weeks ago....too bad we can't blame that loss on them.
Actually...it looks like the Pac-10 is the only conference with the "exclusive" policy.
Here is some additional info that talks about how a lot of major conferences take their officials on the road for high-profile games....
According to that article, half of the 1-A schools use home officials for non-con games. What a bunch of friggin whiners... even if the refs cause a few plays, the players still can blame themselves for putting their team into a place were they could lose the game. Man up, Stoops!
