The Only Thing to Put a Smile on My Face after the Debacle in L.A.

Tip of the Cap to whoever put the Buck O'neil story up... I'm sure it was 2.0.
L.A - My only comment is this. I realized I was a true UW fan after that game... It hurt and I was a wreck the rest of the day.
Yanks, well they just made the weekend that much sweeter.
I love seeing A-Rod fail yet again, but I hate the idea of seeing Sweet Lou put on those Yankee Pin Stripes.
I know the term "Moral vistory" is hollow, but I have to tip the cap to the Dawgs of MontLake.
Ty has this team believing it wcan win every game.
sometime a loss is what a team needs to regain focus.
Would you like a Win over USC this year Jimmy or 10 wins a year for the next 3?
Well Sweet Lou was a Yankee before he was an M... So I don't follow your logic MCP
It took me a while to come out of my funk...luckily the 'Swell was heavy with the Tillamore and Smithwicks...top o' the morning to ya McSweeney!!!
Goose...I just want to wipe that smirk from Carroll's face...and shove it to him again when he decided to go for it on a 4th and 5 in the 1st quarter...
Carroll will get his when the tides change....and when the Dawgs return to being a "Viscious animal"
I agree with Goose about the "moral victory". Howerver, there is actually a decent story out today about how far the Huskies have come....and it can be illustrated by the fact that after Saturday's game, they aren't blaming each other, they aren't blaming the officials, etc. There are several guys that are stepping up and taking accountability, and they aren't looking back...they are only looking ahead.
The Dawgs of 3 seasons ago would be bickering up a friggin' storm after that game.
Gotta like the turnaround that we're seein', and the direction we are headed....at least once we get #4 out of the program.
well the Dawgs of three years ago would've lost by 30 and shown a general apathy toward winning and losing...so yes...we have come a long way...however...I saw a team on Saturday that matched if not overpowered USC on several occasions...I know this isn't the Juggernaut of the last two years...but, there were some really good physical contact being made by our defense...
I like the fact of accountability...1st on that list is C Juan Garcia...by the sixth game of the year you 'must' repeat 'must' be able to snap the ball inside the 5 on the road...if this team can eventually execute in all aspects of the game they're good enough to defeat anyone in the Pac 10 anywhere...now lets see how they come out Saturday against a Beaver team that is looking more an more like the Husky teams of the past several years...
Well Train I called you twice yesterday and sent you an email this morning and you still have not responded so I will now have to call you out publicly...whats with blowing me off yesterday?
Only good excuses will get you off the hook, so please insert excuse here _______________________
Goose...it's just Train's way.
Train knows better. Having two little gosslings these opportunities to get some Lodge time do not (I repeat) do not simply get blown off.
Train has a good excuse or else....
And I looked , and behold a pale horse : and his name that sat on him was Death , and Hell followed with him
there's a man going round...taking names...
I love the little blurbs by elias on ESPN.....
Lito Sheppard preserved the Eagles' victory over the Cowboys with a 102-yard interception return for a touchdown. Sheppard, who scored on a 101-yard INT return against the Cowboys in 2004, is the first player in NFL history to score two TDs on interceptions returns of 100 yards or longer.
Hank Baskett scored the first touchdown of his NFL career on an 87-yard pass from Donovan McNabb. Only five other players caught passes that long for their first NFL TD, the most recent being Mark Malone -- yes, the Steelers quarterback, Mark Malone, in 1981. Malone scored on a 90-yard pass from Terry Bradshaw.
Reggie Bush became the first rookie in NFL history to score a game-winning touchdown on a punt return in the final five minutes of the fourth quarter or in overtime
And he decides who to free...and who to blame.
...I really loved the use of that song in the Dawn of the Dead remake...
So MCP...is it all about zombie Movies or are you all over the Horror Genere.
I was curious what people were thinking about the Texas Chainsaw "The Beginning"...if at all?
I like Horror films in general...Zombie flicks are just my favorite.
I'm yet to hear anything good about Texas Chainsaw. It's only got a 21% on Rotten Tomatoes. Most of these horror remakes of late have seemed to be pretty crappy.
A good horror movie to check out when it hits DVD is the "Descent". That flick was @#$%ing awesome! Don't let the trailers or crappy poster fool you.
Only 3 movies have every freaked me out to the point where I wound them to be respectable Horror movies
1) Exorcist Still the best Horror Movie of all time
2) Texas Chainsaw Massacre (The original) So disturbing and graphic. It made me want to yell OH DEAR GOD RUN FASTER!!! in the middle of the movie
3) The Ring. Not really scary because of the plot...however the visual images were something that stuck into your head far into the night after the movie was over
I was really proud to be a husky fan on Saturday. However, I don't think the team used all the chances the Trojans gave them. You got to produce in the red zone, no matter what level of ball you are playing. I'm sure Ty will address this issue this week and they will do a number on the boys of Corvalis.
Is it weird or as soon as Goose called out Train, Train hasn't been heard from since!
No worries Goose and I settled the dispute and that's all you need to know Dude...
It is settled. The 1st born son will be named Goose Lovato.
Of course that means somewhere in Kent, the 12 year old child of an ex Hooters Waitress must recieve a new name
hey yoooooooooo
You know me all to well
I'm actually a horror movie fanatic....and it doesn't take much to impress me to a certain extent. I like to be entertained....that's about it. I'm not into analyzing the directing qualities of a horror flick....I just like to watch them because I like to sit on the edge of my seat and/or jump out of it.
I actually enjoyed the Texas Chainsaw remake...and I can't wait to see this one. But that's just me.....
Oh, and I have to agree about the Descent. Best one in a looooong time.
I can respect that Seatown...however I find that its one thing to be startled...(Jump out of your seat etc) its another to be freaked out "Scared"....looking down dark hallways when you wake in the middle of the night, seeing shadows move and feeling every hair on your neck stand up, wondering if what you saw in a movie could actually be real.
Thats what a great Horror movie is to me.
Everything else falls in between Chucky and the Leprachaun
Again, I agree. And just to clarify, neither Chucky or the Leprachaun made me leave my seat.....ever.
THe movie that scared me as an 8 year old was: An American Werewolf in London
the scene where he changes into the hell hound still haunts me.
Does "Critters" qualify as an edge of the seater??
STICK TO THE ROADS!!!...
Oooh good call on American WereWolf in London.
Beware of the Moon.....
