Pimp of the Week

Following post-election news and combining the freak of the week theme I give you Republican incumbent Congressman Don Sherwood from Pennsylvania.

Unfortunately, Congressman Sherwood had to choke a b*tch. After a string of corruption and outrageous sexual shenanigans of the Republican candidates Sherwood comes across as mild, but worth mention. His Peruvian mistress Cynthia M. Ore is rattled but seeking reparations for damages.

On November 3, 2006 the Associated Press reported that a source had revealed the terms of Sherwood's settlement with Ore. The story reports that Sherwood agreed to pay her about $500,000 but a confidentiality clause requires Ore to forfeit some of the money if she talks publicly about the case. It also reported that Ore had, as of November 3, received only about half of the money and that she would receive the other half after the November 7 election, giving Ore "a powerful incentive for her to keep quiet until after Election Day."

Effectively money silences women, physical abuse does not. Sherwood denies any claims by Ore, but apparently denial is only believed with heavy co$t. An expensive lesson learned. Still, Democratic candidate Chris Carney defeated Sherwood without strong-arm tactics.

The Congressman's wife Carol Sherwood and their daughters, made a stand by her man, and forgivingly so did the Christian Coalition, American Conservative Union and American Family Association.
