Dwight The Vampire Slayer

I had to give a shout out for tonight's episode of "The Office". Guess why?

good title pic/post today 2.0...mark the date Feb. 15th, 2007 as the day MLK talked about where every race can come together and mutually discriminate the sexual minority...you smell that?...that's the smell of freedom?...like the smell of the wind at 60MPH from the inside of a Taurus...

Duh. I was making a joke.

Anyway...

Anyone else catch "Lost" last night? They seem to finally be catching their groove again. Really great episode....

I really dug the episode last night...mainly because of the "Penny" factor and the Classic Football action on the Tele...the numbers were back and so was the classic ending twist...

I really didn't understand all the negative press over the break concerning the "demise" of the show...it seems to me that they made the right decision this season by having a week after week storyline...and I dig the development of the the "other" island...

Desmondo has always (since his introductions) been one of the best written most complex characters on the show, just because of his history and point of view...

I actually understand some of the negative press. Here's why:

I like showing all the episodes back to back. But showing 6 episodes all the way back in September ended up being a bad choice in my opinion.

I think what really hurt, was that those 6 episodes felt a little on the weak side, with the exception of 1 episode.

You had 4 episodes dealing pretty much exclusively with Jack/Kate/Sawyer, and that started to feel a little old considering there are so many other characters that you wanted to check in on.

Then you had the Eko death episode, which I realize was a necessity due to behind the scenes drama with the actor, but the episode was really kind of crappy.

The Locke spirit quest episode was the 1 shining exception, because they finally brought Locke back to the character we dug so much in season 1. In season 2 he lost so much of his coolness by just becoming a button pusher.

I think another thing that hurt the series early on was the introduction of Nicki & Paulo. If you don't recognize their names, they are the two castaways who never appeared before this season, but were apparently there all along. A lot of talk back seems to be of viewers who simply hate these characters and hope they die horrific deaths.

These last two episodes have really restored my faith in the series, which had been weakining since the middle of season 2.

Anything with Desmond is always great, and he now has the most original flashback episode of anyone.

I also dug the new twist with Juliet. I honestly didn't see that coming until just before the words came out of her mouth. She instantly became considerably more interesting to me.

Penny is quite the hot bird. She has taken the top spot on my LOST HOTTIES list. I loved the episode. I think the creaters have the show back on track.

I think the first six had a couple of decent shows, the spirit one and the opener...I'd rather save the quality and interesting bits for later in the season anyway (which about 99% of all one hour TV drama's do)..what about the BoSox winning the series? come on? that was a good one right?

Top 5 Lost Hotties:

5-Sun--(yeah...it's like that)
4-Nikki-might be higher, but would needs more air-time
3-Juliet-not a surprise to anyone who's watched the show with me before
2-Penny-Sealed the deal last night
1-Hurley-really no explanation needed

Jimbo, I hope you're not talking sh*t about my car. My Taurus is a damn fine automobile.
And did any of you Deadwood fans out there notice Ms Calamity Jane as Juliet's sister in last weeks episode? Probably not since she looked like she'd taken a bath and wasn't spewing "c*cksucker" left and right. Deadwood is taking over the Others (Trixie played Danny's wife who got shot and killed during the first half of the season).

I would never talk sh*t about "Blue Thunder" Maude...I just know that when you roll those windows down and let your hair blow in the breeze you can turn your radio off, because that's when freedom rings...

I actually did notice that CJ was playing Juliet's sister last week...and remembered that had she not played CJ so over-the-top I would've been a much bigger Deadwood fan...I'm glad to know that at least the female cast members are still able to find work...it may not be as easy for Grima Wormtongue
