First time? No, I've been nervous lots of times.

I found a rare dead spot in my day on this rainy Friday afternoon (no, I didn't just write that so you Seattleites will accept me; it really is coming down) so I decided to enter the blog.

Joe told me about this while I was drinking an $12 apple-cranberry martini. Yesterday, I got a $34 parking ticket for an expired meter (my specialty) from the Minneapolis meter maids; that was my second in the last three weeks. Awesome.

Anyway, you guys probably only wanted me in this so you could hear about PoisonPillGate 2006, but since I am a professional journalist and this is probably searchable on google, I will have to keep those discussions offline.

So, here's something fun to do if you have 10 seconds and a sense of humour (just in case John Cleese is reading) ... go to www.google.com and type "failure" in the search box. Then click on "I'm Feeling Lucky" instead of the usual "Google Search."

You'll find that the google engine is infallibly accurate in directing websurfers to the site that best fits their search.

What’s the soup de jour?....Mmmmmmm, I’ll have that

Does this mean we have gone legit?? The Soup brings along with him his award winning investigative journalism and numerous accommodations… Oh and all his last place fantasy sports finishes.

I hope the Lodge gets first dibs on breaking AP news.

Soup, who cares if it's searchable. You need to use pseudonames for the characters involved in Poison Pill Gate or something. Throw us a bone here!

By the way, Soup is the #4 Draft Pick by the Dutch. You can read about Soup possibly joining (and now it's official) in my Feeling Minnesota post from last week's business trip. There was a small introduction to Soup in it. Welcome, Dave.

Goose knows how to make an appearance. I was wondering where you were, Jeff. You are needed on the HOF post Re: Deion Sanders.

Does anyone else wonder about the fact that Joe has 4 draft picks in the Lodge?

Shall we rename it the "Windmill" and start talking about the Arian Brotherhood?

I sense alot of hugging around here.

I would consider Soup a collective draft pick for the Lodge, like when Frampton joined the Bee Gee's in SPRHB the movie, it was inevitable...but if you want to be an egotistical ass, 2.0, than go on ahead and take credit...becuase I know that you will...that's what the Dutch do...

I was thinking the same thing Jimbo. Soup is kind of a long lost member of the family.

But really Jimmy. Did you have to go there? Frampton and the Bee Gee's? Bad medicine my freind.

"Hey Doc...did you see the size of that Chicken?"....BLAM!!!!

I like how Joe has to mention that this person is draft pick number 12 or whatever...

Why can't we all enjoy the Lodge is getting bigger and better and not have to brag about it. I get it Joe, you have some friends that bring it. Just to let you know Jim has used several draft picks. They are called 2.0, Train, Goose, and The Dude to name a few...although I don't see Jim braggin' that he added this person or that...

Thanks for doin' this Jim and thanks for adding people!!!
