A Harlem resident simply named: Tron

I used to be really big on buying trendy gear; in fact, i was a gear whore. As I was shocked to find out the hip men's store GOODS has TRON shoes by Adidas. Thank you Adidas for your further contribution to the world. Why did they do this? I have no idea. Maybe just continuing their agenda of promoting world peace.

And they have a Tron tracktop, which i'm not too excited about.

here is the fabric detail

see...I'm big on the tracktop and not the sneaks...although if they ever came out with the helmet, well, I'd be wearing it right now...

Devin, you bought the Tron (20th Anniversary Collector's Edition), didn't you? It's nice that TP now has another SciFi geek to play with in the Lodge.

By the way... where's the GNR ComiCon post, TP?

Joe.
You need to accept that the Comicon post will never happen. Kind of like Train in Leather pants. Some things are just not meant to be seen.

No Joe. I do not have the Tron 20th edition. I do have all first copy prints of X-MEN #1 in the fold out cover version and separates. Of course there were like a billion sold that day but, HA! (also, first series Jim Lee XMEN cards incl/holograms)

I can see how the simple design and understated tron fabric can be appealling in the tracktop Jimbo, but much like a 4 yr old, hypercolors make me go nuts. I stand by the shoes.

I just love that the bottom of the shoes have a picture of Bruce Boxleiters face.

Brilliant.

I might order the tracktop, for the sole purpose of wearing it only around theduke...I'll also make sure to wear my faded hypercolor shirt with matching mouth breath stains that never came out

And for the record the 20th Anniversary Special Edition DVD is AWESOME!!!!

The Transfer is fantastic and made the film look better than it ever has before. Plus, the 90 minute documentary on the film is really interesting. Good stuff...

You know...that's actually kind of a funny idea for a short....

...and you know, it could totally be done on a makeshift blue screen for a minimal amount of money...

....I wonder....

I used to play "Discs of Tron" for hours. You could even play doubles. Maybe one of the best video games ever. I have the MAME version, but it isn't the same without the dial that moves up & down and trigger joystick.

The best thing about the shoes: 3 velcro straps! Can you get more early eighties than that?
