I'm bringing my f'n pastels...f' the re-imagination
So heads up that we're doing a Lodge outing this weekend for 'Vice'...no whining, excuses or backing out (unless you're MCP, you don't want to break your streak now buddy)...My proposition is for Saturday, maybe save a few bucks and hit a matinee and then follow it up with cards, bones are other games of chance...let me know who's in and we'll get the speed boat warmed up...

I think saturday will work for me
I'll dust off my Light Blue sportscoat and white pants with no socks. I'll have Glenn Fry talking about Smugglers blues on my IPOD
it's going to be hard to like the neo-Vice w/o Fry...and Don King cameo's
I just found my Lt. Castillo play set complete with Bandito mustache and half a pound of siezed hash. And my Phil Collins tape so I'm good to go.
So baby, here's your ticket,
Put the suitcase in your hand.
Here's a little money now,
Do it just the way we planned.
You be cool for twenty hours
And I'll pay you twenty grand.
It's the Smuggler's Blues!!!
I have to say if there is a scene with Crockett and Tubbs traveling down the streets of Miami in the early hours of the morning contemplating how they are going to take down the evil drug king ping and it's done without "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins playing the background I might have to walk out....
If you want to remember what I'm talking about check out The pilot episode. That scene right there made the show into the essence of 80's cool that it still has today.
I was reading that Mann is including "In the Air tonight" but he doesn't know where to put it in the movie...I think we should have an over under of how many times we are goin' to hear the song.
I'm definately in...this is a film that should play at the cinerama but I'm sure where ever the Lodge decides...so be it!
Was anyone else singin the smuggler's blues when I was reading that post?
