Hey Goose the statistician.....obscure stat of the day.

Did you see that yesterday, Josh Brown became the 1st kicker in NFL history to beat the same team twice in the same season on a come from behind field goal in the final minute of the game? Confirmed today by ELIAS.

I saw that.

I love the Elias Says on Mondays

Marques Colston, the Saints' remarkable seventh-round draft choice, had 10 receptions at Pittsburgh after gathering in 11 passes last week at Tampa. He thereby became the first rookie in the history of the NFL to reach double-figures in receptions in each of two consecutive games.

M's fans. Would you have been willing to pony up the 42 million?

The M's would've lost the bidding war...$42 Million is a number only three teams in MLB can afford...

I read today that the M's are probably going to bid on another Japanese SP who has a nasty circle change. So the dream of a All-Japanese battery is not lost. Just not one with the guy everybody wanted. Of course, everybody wanted Hideki Irabu too... and he turned out to be a "fat toad".

I heard the M's had no shot with the Japanese pitcher. There is a royal blood feud between the M's owner and the Sebu Lions owner. You know the Japanese and there Bushido Code!

Speaking of Japanese. I saw Flags of our fathers on Sunday. It's a great movie. It's not anti or pro war. It's just an amazing movie. Eastwood does a great job laying out the question "What exactly makes a hero"

Right now, everyone in the greater Seatown area may define a hero as one with the ability to kick 38 yard field goals into the wind in the pouring down rain just like falling out of bed in the morning.....

I know Jimbo is big on this....

Jason Campbell will make his NFL debut Sunday for the Washington Redskins, replacing quarterback Mark Brunell.

The Dawg will sit, and the future is now

The 'skins have a lot bigger problems than the aging Dawg at QB....

The comment wasn't meant to hit an open wound Goose....more of an observation.

I've got a big UofA football post in the works in the coming days, and I'm expecting your full support.....

I've set the Lodge to automatically delete with no chance of recovery any post having to do with any Pac 10 Program south of 520...just a heads up...

and if Jason Campbell is the answer...I really don't want to know the question...although with the 'Skins I kind of do...haven't they learned...you don't draft QB's anymore...you have them work their way up through the practice squad or wait until the Draft Day 2...Campbell will fail...#1 the Pro team he's on...#2...name the last great Auburn QB in the NFL...thought so...#3...the Pro Team he's on

Don't worry, Jimbo. He can have his Wildcat post... but we'll have the Huskies taking the reigns on the Pac-10 and West Coast. Romar has the boys poised to roll for years... taking nothing away from the 72-year-old Lute Olson, the man is a legend... but Romar is a "hero" in the making.

I don't want to make a UofA basketball post....I wanted to comment on the evolution of the Stoops era on the football program.....but if the Lodgefather isn't down, then I guess I will keep it to myself....

I'm just f'n wit' you CTown...besides they were the "other" PAC 10 Team we beat this year...I'm just in a very fragile place in regards to the Montlake 11...it's like getting a colonoscopy each Saturday...but this Saturday has all the makings of a classic Apple Cup...

Devo and I are in Ryan Hoffman's wedding that afternoon. I am planning on heading out to the Lodge for a post-wedding Apple Cup party if the Lodge is having one.
