"They're going to give me #7, really?...don't they know I played for Vanderbilt?"

Let this serve as the preview (minus the analysis) to a revist of a classic AFC West rivalry....albeit one-sided, but it still brings up memories...Bronco-Busters 2.0

I'm just thinking that the Hawks D is going to step up and put pressure on Cutler.....and the Broncos running game has been less than stellar lately, which means a lot of 3rd and long passing situations for rookie.

The Seahawks have something to prove after their last appearance on Football Night In America.....

Tatum will run for one score and Cutler will throw for one... but I don't see the Denver passing offense clicking all that well (since it hasn't all year, and now a rookie QB is starting against the always underrated Hawks DEF)... so I give them 3 FG's.

As far as the Hawks... well, their offense got clicking last week versus Green Bay in the second half and although Denver's secondary is much stronger, I don't see the Browns, I mean Broncos line containing the rejuvinated run game with Shaun Alexander's good leg, who will run for 120+ and one TD.

Champ Bailey is the best DB in football... but Darrent Williams can be beat (as seen during the Reggie Wayne beatdown a month ago), and Deion "Don't call me Neon" Branch will be good for another score, with Matt Hasselbeck throwing for another TD, giving him 230 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT, and 1 FL. Holmgren has been waiting to open up the playbook for weeks, and this will be the game. Classic west-coast offensive clinic. Believe it.

a surprisingly decent breakdown 2.0, however, with Cutler the wild-card in this, I can forsee a Kansas City like approach to the Hawks D..."which is undersized and will be all year...ain't gonna be any growth spurts between now and Sunday..."...and if the 'Cos attack them and get to the 40-50 rushes plateau they will have a good chance at wearing them down and holding the football...

I think the wild-card you forget in this equation is that the Denver WR's have been under-used all season...the thought of Track-mark Trufant cover JaWalker or Herdon trying to stick with Rod Smith underneath is a bit frightening....hell, look what a completely washed up QB w/ only one good arm, which wasn't his throwing arm and Donald Driver did last week...in poor conditions...

I think you add up those scenerios, plus the 20-30 degrees that it will be at kickoff and the Rocky Mountain 12th Man and you're talking about a trap-door game...however, after saying that...I THINK THEY GOT THE WRONG TEAM FAVORED...I LIKE ALEXANDER RUNNING BEHIND THE PORKCHOP EXPRESS: SEATTLE 27-DENVER(-3.5)24

Gooses Keys to watch on sunday night with the Hawks Defense

*Watch The Seahawk pre snap movement on defense. They will show him several different looks to start with. 6-7-8 man fronts.

*Watch the defenders at the snap of the ball to see if they are running more man or zone defense. You will likely see more zone coverage.

*Watch Hamlin/Babs/Boulware roll their zone coverage To Cutlers right side and middle, where most rookie QB's tend to limit their throws

*Watch for different blitz packages. Safeties, CB LB will come in Tandems and you may even see the DE drop into coverage on a zone blitz.

*Look for Denver to employ 2TE 2RB and 1WR formations

Remember that being a rookie QB, the hardest thing to do is learn how to read a defense. However the Problem with a Rookie QB is you have no real game film on them to studay. Its like a rookie pitcher who is making his 1st trip around the majors. You dont really know what his stuff is.

I think the Hawks will Struggle but will prevail. Seattle 21 Denver 17

(Halftime score Denver 10 Seattle 7)
