Because poignant really isn't my style...
I'm having a hard time making this post bigger than it is, but here it goes, milestone #1000, I'm not sure how the stats breakdown, but I'm sure I'd still be working to get to 200 by myself. So, thank you to everyone that has done work on the Lodge. I'm not sure what the future looks like or when we'll finally get our logo (hint hint Maude), but hopefully the next 1000 posts will put us on the internets map.
Cheers, and here's the greatest photo I could find for the occasion, hopefully this will keep us grounded:

I love this Lodge, these guys... Oh, gees....
It has been quite a ride. We'll toast to it tonight at the Lodge. Well done, fellas.
I love that friggin NHL got the picture today instead of Boris Yeltsin... he helped bring down Communism, people! (Well, everywhere except China and Cuba) Let's give a shout out to the days of the Cold War.

One could argue that Mother Russia will never be as strong as she was during the Red Winter...although, point taken...
'It reminds me of the heady days of Sputnik and Yuri Gagarin when the world trembled at the sound of our rockets. Now they will tremble again - at the sound of our silence. The order is: engage the silent drive.'
I miss the cold war...
Post # 1,000 on the same day that Kryptonite is found....coincidence? ....or maybe just giving the poster a run for its money....
I love that the Canucks got huge props...it's an honor to get the picture of the day on the day of the 1,000 post. I'm working on the Canucks post...keep checkin'
I have to say it's been great, although I don't do a ton of posts it's great to be part of the Lodge...
Thanks for the Clark Kent update Shawn. I heard about it yesterday, but didn't think the lodge could handle it. I was wrong.
A little quote from Joe Pa
"When a team outgrows individual performance and learns team confidence, excellence becomes a reality"
Here is to the next 1000 with a great group of PALS
