Well here we are.....at last. I am here to "make a difference on the internets" according to Jimbo's invite. I'm not afraid to go over the middle and take the big hit either. I do have to clarify one thing though.....while I suppose I am a "dawg" because I have grown up in the shadows of Husky Stadium.....I actually attended the University of Arizona in the lovely armpit of TuXon AZ. I didn't actually graduate from U of A, but my experience there far outweighs my 8 credits at UDub.

Now, for the more important things in life.....as of this week. I know the Seahawks talk has been worked over like an Enumclaw horse farm, but I can't resist right now. (I will premise these comments only by saying that I think I was actually born into a Steve Largent jersey, and I remember where I was in 1983, when we lost to the Raiders in the AFC Championship game.) Saturday can't get here fast enough. I think the last time I was this excited was the Christamas Eve right before I opened up the present containing my very own NES. My mom totally tricked me that Christmas...but that's for another time....

I've overheard several different theories about who should actually raise the 12th man flag at the game this weekend. It's not like the crowd is going to need any reason to be pumped, but the 12th-man-flag-raising-cermony-thingie has developed into a decent Seahawks tradition...so we'll need to roll with it. Hands down, two guys that I know I would love to see are the aforementioned Steve M. Largent or Mr. Kenny "street sign smackdown" Hamlin....talk about pure craziness. Nothing quite like seeing a guy back on his feet after a rough night at Larry's.

One brief, random review I suppose and then I'll be off for now....

Ambulance Ltd. - self titled (also referred to as 'LP')

So this is a record that fell into my lap from a friend a couple summers ago, and I must say that it is still in heavy rotation today. I have a hard time describing them to people because I don't want to pigeonhole their sound.....they've got what I would call "enthusiastic diversity". For me, the first time I listened to them, it already sounded familiar. Not because I had heard them on the radio or anything....just, familiar. Hard to describe I guess, but I've had it happen before, but only with a few bands. The biggest knock against this album that I have heard is that these kids seem like they are trying too hard.....but I would disagree. This is a solid record start to finish that you should listen to without hitting the 'shuffle' button on your player.

Speaking of player....I am out. This day has been crazy insane....just like I was for that 8th grade bitch....

Great to be here at the lodge (am I supposed to capitalize that?).

I apologize for the punctuation issues. It was late, and I write as if I were talking directly to everyone.

Jimbo, is that quote in the title page above for real? Awesome.

Shawn, if you want to laugh a LOT, check out the archived post simply titled, Chuck Norris, from the week of 2005-12-11. Not only will you understand the quote, but you'll live a better life.

Since Chuck Norris was born, the number of roundhouse kick related deaths has increased 13,000 percent.

Shawn...let me say again, welcome to the Lodge. That Ambulance album is a pretty good album. I haven't listen to it in a while but will definately put it in the rotation for later.

As for the 12 man flag, I just need to get up and head to the field to get pumped up. It could be Greg Nickels (I hope not) but I would be pumped just to see the flag go up. Hamlin would be awesome or all the members of the ring would be great to.

Sidenote: Do you think Steve Rable is bitter when he sees all these former Seahawks around? Thoughts, comments?

I don't think he gets bitter, at least he would never admit to it. Like him or not, Steve Raible is an original Seattle Seahawk pimp. While he never finished in the top 50 of any major category when he played for the Seahawks, he was inducted into the Ramblin Wreck HOF and he has 5 emmys working for KIRO. I'm sure that somewhere deep down he's bummed that he wasn't at least on that '83 squad and he probably harbors some insecurities of being seen as an equal in the eyes of the Seahawks greats.
