Breaking the Silence

When you see something that induces vomitting...it must be shared (thanks, I guess to the intern)

If this is what I think it is since I can't check at work. I saw this trailer in the theatre. My first thought was cool this might be good but then the Linkin Park soundtrack kicked in and I started to wonder when the pilaging of my childhood would stop.

Have faith ye of little hope. Sure this movie looks bad. Sure, it looks like a waste of two hours. But I've got two words for you:

Michael Mann

This is the guy that brought us Thief, Manhunter, Collateral, Heat, and Last of the Mohicans. Sure this looks bad, but at least there is some serious talent behind the lens.

MANN is awesome... That is the only saving grace..

could they not find Janns Hammer for the soundtrack? he busy?

Tubbs aint had a job since the show was cancelled cant you get him?

D johnson just finished up Nash Bridges...

and Castillo how can that not be played by E J OLMOS? that is like Affleck playing Jack Ryan.. it never works.

MCP...after thinking about it...I'm going to give it a chance...Mann looks like he's going with the HD camera effect from Collateral, which I thought was the best part of the film...I'm surprised that it hasn't spread....

oh...and it doesn't look like he's bringing back Switek and Zito either...I'm with you MCP...only because this is what put Mann on the Map...I have complete faith that he has an amazing story for his best known creation...I just have a hard time watching Farrell try to "act" for 120 minutes, although I did like him in Intermission, but I just wish they'd call this something else or at least use Jaime Escalante instead of the bar owner from Collaterel
