The Hawks lose a good man!

A man that bled Seattle blue and silver...Mr Dave Brown passed away suddenly playin' hoops with his son down in Texas. Mr. Brown was an assistant with Texas Tech and before that an assistant with the Hawks. The Seahawks have a good write up on him. The man was a Super Bowl Champion and the 1st pick in the Seahawks Expansion Draft. The man defined defense and set the standard for the Seahawks being a defensive minded team. I was stunned last night to hear the news and still shocked to read about it. This Saturday they were goin' to do a tribute to the Ring. Now the Ring has lost two great people. You will be missed Mr. "22"

Go HAWKS....Give the Skins hell!

I hope they show the tribute on TV this Saturday (unless I can score a ticket less than 100 bucks and go myself). Quick Seahawks note that Mr. Dave Brown would have loved:

• Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels accepted a friendly wager from Washington, D.C., Mayor Anthony A. Williams on the outcome of Saturday's game. Williams put up four chili dogs from D.C.'s Ben's Chili Bowl against Nickels' fresh salmon from Seattle's Pike Place Market. Nickels said he will attend Saturday's game. "May the best team win, and our salmon stay in Seattle," he said.

I saw that and thought it was a great quote by Nickels...perhaps the best thing he has done since being mayor.
