A New Poison Pill
I am almost too excited about this to even type right now. Excited that the Seahawks have just acquired an additional WR....sure. But, I am even more excited that the Seahawks are flipping a big one to the Vikings and the NFL for creating creating the BS situation with the transition tag.
Nate gets a 7 year, $49 million offer....exactly the same as Hutch. The deal supposedly contains, 2 "poison pills". One poison pill states that his entire contract is guaranteed if he plays more than 5 games in one season in the state of Minnesota......oh, just read it for yourselves.
GO HAWKS!!!

That is so awesome. I can't even speak... Take that Minnasota you B!tch#s
although I'm fairly certain the Vikes didn't want him back, and that's a lot of $ for a guy as unproven as him...giving two middle fingers in a professional football contract is awesome...this is the type of thing that sets up a good rivalry for the next couple of years
Well, now that I've calmed down a bit. I would agree that it's a lot of money. I do think that he had flashes of brilliance though, once Moss left Minnesota. I am fairly confident that the whole $49 million deal is structured in a way that makes it reasonable...and that the number itself is purely symbolic for the Viqueens' sake.
I just checked into it a bit more, and it appears that it is really only a 4 year deal with $5.25 million guaranteed.....they just dressed it up to get to the $49 million figure.
"Welll Plaaaayed!"
You’ve got to believe that this contract is structured so that he will not make even close to 49$. This is just a big middle finger to the league and the Vikes.
I still think that Hawks need to get a WR in the Draft. This help keep that position set and on par. You still need a burner with breakout talent. I don’t know if the Hawks can get that by the time there pick comes up.
I haven't seen a move like this since the battle of Tinab....
I think Nate B. is the speed-breakout guy on the other side of Djax...and w/ the addition of a three-time SB champ on the line...things are shaping up nicely on the O and D side of the ball...now, my new motto for the next signing: Let's Get the Mack Back!!!
We just signed mack strong to 3 years 3.5 million
Check ESPN
Mack signed
3 years 3.16 Mill

also...the fact that's its March and Hawk Talk is the #1 sports news for the city is f'n Awesome...now we just need the "the real" return of Dawg football and we're back to the Seattle I grew to love...
So when are some more Lodge members gonna start representin' at Qwest Field on Sundays?
Mack is coming back......don't worry about that. Why in the WORLD would he go anywhere?

Ha...the dark decade....I like it....lets hope that it only lasts that long.
I remember my freshman year at the U of A....arriving in Tucson, and the front page of the Arizona Republic had the headline "James Gang Goes Down" or something like that....because the Dawgfather had just resigned.
My mom remembers where she was when JFK got shot....I remember where I was when Don James quit....
