A solid move

Seahawks promote Marshall to D-coordinator.

Solid move by the team.

Rhodes will stay on as a consultant. Out of respect for his colleague, Marshall refused to move into Rhodes' office last season, but will do so now. It is not yet known how much Rhodes, 55, will work during the week.

I also like the addition of Larry Marmie as assistant secondary coach. Solid "Old School" coach. Marmie made a great instructional video I saw called "Linebacker Drills and Techniques".

"Since it's how we pretty much functioned [last season]," Holmgren said, "it's not that big a deal."

Very true, Mike. You need to sign a contract extension though, Mike! We need the Walrus back in Seattle for another 2 or 3 SB runs. Any thoughts on Holmgren's contract talks and/or extension?

Joe.
Let me tell you a little story

Its the story of a man named after a bird. We'll him "Hawk". Hawk decided to post a small quick post about John Marshall being promoted. He didnt cut and paste the article from ESPN. Nothing flashy. Just rock solid reporting. He added a little opinion, plus an additional tidbit on Marmies LB video.

When he logged onto his blog the next day. He found a picture of John Marshall, meaning someone with admin rights went into his post and added the html code.

What happened next you ask? Well a source told me that Hawk was planning to go over to Joes house at some point during the week, and kick him in the nuts seven times, symobilc for
The 7 days of the week
The 7 Deadly Sins
Trains Love for #7
After that they would enjoy a nice glass of Country Time Raspberry Lemonade, while Joe iced his swollen nuts. Maybe Joe and Hawk could watch Taps or the Outsiders

The moral to this story is

If I wanted a F'in picture in my post, I would have put an F'n pic in myself.

Jimmy. If it was you that edited the post, then its cool. You are the Grand Poobah

Man, I was looking forward to a Lodge gathering at the Nest tonight. Count me in for next week. Are we getting together tonight at the Lodge then? Same game, different location?

Goose, I apologize for adding the picture. I just want the Lodge to look professional. That is all. For the record, I have never added words to a post... just formatted images & corrected punctuation.

I consider banning the Admin privies for 2.0, but I enjoy the inter-Lodge bickering...and I have to say Gents, that the Jimbo is out for the gathering tonight...had a couple too many "adult sodas" last night and need to get my head back together...

Thoughts on the Walrus is simple. When you begin thinking of reaching the end, you have probably already reached it.

I think Mike will see how this season goes. If they make another deep run in the playoffs, I see him walking away.

I dont see a long term extension. I see him beginning to Groom a replacement.

I think its been personal...at least with the Jayne-man...this might end up like the first contract killing Tony Montana did in Scarface in the Cuban refugee camp with Train as Manilito...
