Monday's Mad Match
Couple of things. Most importantly, I've found a link to the radio link to each World Cup match. Still looking for the video, but radio isn't half bad. It's here at The Sun Online -- after the page loads, click on the "Click here" link to get the radio.
Poor showing for the U.S. this morning, looking sluggish and thoroughly dominated by a stronger Czech club who looked like a professional team manhandling a collegiate team of the Americans. Czech giant Jan Koller scored just five minutes in, Tomas Rosicky (Seen here celebrating his first score, I still think Rosicky is one of the Nightwatch) added two goals and the Czechs coasted to an easy win.
Eddie Johnson should have been in from the start, instead of being subbed in during the 2nd half. Besides Reyna, the U.S. squad did not look good. If Reyna's shot would have bounced off the post and in, I believe the outcome might've been different.
Did ya'll see Gnarls Barkley play their hit "Crazy" at the MTV Movie Awards? All dressed in Star Wars gear? I mentioned it to ya'll during the World Cup Lodge gathering on Saturday, but the video is above for the geeks delight. The Gnarls Barkley album is pretty great overall too. Okay, now back to the radio feed, 2nd half of Italy vs. Ghana...

It'll be interesting to see if Keane goes to play for Celtic or picks up a clipboard to start his coaching career. Jimbo, I know you are in the "Fire Ferguson" camp. Would you want Keane manning the United club?
And yet...joe spoils another match for people who didn't get to a bar this morning...after we talked about it on Saturday...
I never said the score. And what are you doing reading the blog when you knew we all watched the match this morning at the pub? Common sense would be to avoid information where the score might leak. Oh, but you don't know the score... and you could've stopped reading after reading "Poor showing for the U.S. this morning."
And again, I'm surprised you read this post. For a guy who never comments, you have been reading a lot of posts lately.
24 hour moratorium on all opinions about World Cup matches...today is the first day were I haven't watched the games live and have had to purposely stay off News/Sports sites, I'll probably take up the radio for some of the lesser games I don't want to see live...
and kudos my friend on the English ladies...nothing gets me ready for a match like scantly-clad Brits...OIY!!!
sorry 2.0 didn't see your original comment, but I'm actually pro-Sir Alex...he may not have the eye he once had, but about 99% of the coaches in top flight football would love to fall to the point that he's at now...let the man walk away...and the thing about Keane-o is that he's unproven with the clipboard, however, I don't think he would stand for the likes of C. Ronaldo, Forlan and the other soft-boys that have infected Old Trafford...that's just my take from 10,000 miles away...
Just because I don't have an opinion on everything, doesn't mean I have to comment on everything...
wow, that gnarls barkley set just restored my faith about goodness in the world. Rebel fighter pilots as backup singers, all is good in my heart again.
Joe. Again I have to mention the dangers of ripping on a Captain like the Dude. All it take is one call from Jimmy the Grand Poohbah and Goose is playing "Knock Knock, Who's there? My Foot in Joe's ass"
Capish?
Plus, I'll call out Dude all friggin day. Here's a prime example of someone reading something they shouldn't.
For example, your post a few minutes ago about Lost. Shawon graciously gave me Season 1 for my iPod, but I haven't watched them yet because the Queen wants to watch them with me.
So what do I do when I see the weekly post about Lost? Well, I don't read it, that's for sure. So, yeah, basically I'm sayin that Dude is a moron and only his improved interaction with the Lodge in more post and appearances at Lodge events will curb my calling the Dude out weekly.
2.0 is becoming my Ralphie Cifaretto...
And we all know what happened to Ralphie
I don't know, maybe I was listening when the moratorium was mentioned...I brought it up nicely during the matches on Saturday. I wouldn't mind a preview of what a lodge member thought of the USA game vs the Czech Republic but come on...spoilin' the match and doin' everything but mention the score is a kind of a red card thing to do...All I know whenever I see a Joe post about the cup that it's obviously a spoiler and can't be taken with an open mind...
And all I know is that whenever I see a Dude post and/or an appearance at 2 Lodge gathering in a row, it's cause for a celebration.
And if I'm Ralphie than The Dude is David Scatino (aka Robert Patrick), a guy who is a lot of talk but than doesn't back it up and falls into debt and than pretty much never shows up and dodges his debt to Tony.
Enough with the foreplay Joe - Dude will never be yours. He likes the ladies, not the boys.
