Time of Death: 01:23PM
Yesterday, my 12-inch G4 Powerbook died. The hard drive is toast. I have an appointment to try and recover the data (i.e. 50+ gigs of music, school papers, notes, etc.) in the Apple Store on Thursday. But I'm not confident they'll be able to do anything. But we will see.
It's been a good 3 years with the little guy. So today, I put a new 13.3-inch MacBook on my credit card. Now that I'm a full-time student, it's not really an option to write notes (since I can type approximately 8 times faster than I can write) for class. Crazy. I got the white one because the black one is 200 bucks more. 200 bucks for black. B!tches. The differences between the two computers can be seen in the image above.

Let me know if you are able to recover the data Joe. If possible...send your external HD home with Jen in a couple weeks and I'll load you up.
You will appreciate the increased speed I'm sure.....and I hear you about the 200 bucks extra for just black. I did pay the extra 200 bucks...but I used it for an extra Gig of RAM instead.
so there 2.0, where's your GIG now!!!
Looks like the Mac Nation is just as unstable as the rest of us rockin' it out here in Free World...
It's amazing, perhaps the apple is human just like every other computer.
Perhaps... or perhaps I killed it by working it too hard. Oh well... no luck yet on recovery.
Sometimes you have to work it hard...
