2005 Action Movie Smack-Down
RUMBLE!!!
We have 16 contestants to go through, so lets start up with the first bracket.
VS
Batman vs. Harry Potter
These two combatants are born from the same tragedy…the loss of their parents. One honed themselves into a creature of the night, obsessed with vengeance. The other is a wizard with the strength to take down even the mightiest master of the black arts.
Batman:
Last Seen: Batman Begins
Height: 6’2
Weight: 225 lbs
Powers: None
Skills: Master of Martial Arts, Detection, Science, and pretty much anything else you can think of.
Harry Potter:
Last Seen: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Height: 5’6
Weight: 140 lbs
Powers: 4th year sorcerer
Skills: Curse spells, defending the dark arts, Quidditch, saving the world.
Vegas odds: Batman seems to have the clear advantage here, but you really can’t rule out Mr. Potter. He’s feisty and has proven more than able to over come impossible odds. Can even the Batman stand up to a patronus spell?
But still, the Batman has the height/weight advantage, as well as Mr. Potter probably being afraid of bats.
Advantage: Batman (narrowly).
But forget about the odds. There’s only one way to decide…your votes! So let us know who’s moving on to the elite 8!

I have Shark-Boy and Lava Girl by a landslide...oh no...wait...can I have the Batman for $500 please...oh and can I get that w/o the side of TomKat?
Even though I am a big fan of the Potter books, and Harry's magic ability with a good handle on Dark Arts spells give him a significant advantage, I still can't come to vote for a kid over friggin Batman.
The Potter books are better than the Batman comic books overall (besides the Dark Knight series, which are absolutely phenomenal.) But we aren't talking about books, we are talking about a fight.
And Batman has a better resume. Potter has taken down the Dark Lord and his minions a number of times, but Batman has knocked out the Joker, the Riddler, the Penguin, Two-Face, Dr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Catwoman & Ra's Al Ghul. So my vote goes to Batman.
"I have given a name to my pain, and it is Batman." :The Joker
"Joe 2.0....think about the future"
I'll make you a legend Mr. Wayne
and don't forget about the epic battle with Dr/Guvna Freeze...never give up...never give up...
How can you not vote for Batman? Voting for Harry Potter is like wearing a studded girls belt (like Joe 2.0)
Gotta give it up for the caped crusader.
I have to go with the Dark Knight. The Caped Cruisader is a hands down pick in this bracket. Potter may have the side kicks but without spells Potter couldn't defend a pig pen.
Batman has my vote!
