Being the parent of two Gosslings I am definately behind in some current movies but I wanted to post a few opinions in the blog on Summer blockbusters and other thoughts from the Nest
Star Wars Revenge of the Sith
One fact is still bugging me. When the order was given at the end of the movie to erase 3P0's memory, R2 got off scott free. Im hoping that if they ever do an episode 7 that the movie opens with Leia, Han and Luke beating the snot out of R2 with Gaffi sticks saying "You little punk knew EVERYTHING and you didnt think to share any information?" Drop the little punk ass droid in Degobah and let him sit for a while. Degobah is like Compton for Droids.
Batman Begins
This was the best Batman Movie of them all. However Christian Bale reminded me in several scenes of the guy who played Greg in "Dharma and Greg". Creepy.
Has Joe been granted his outright release or with an arbitrator decide that he can return to the blog after a 4 game suspension?
Does The Mighty Pemco Casey begin his Blogging career as "Meat"? (The MPC for short)
Dick Butkas was 1-7 with the Montour Spartans. Ray Crockett with be the next Defensive Backfield coach for the Broncos. Butkas will return to cameo's on sitcoms
Fat Albert as a live action movie was wrong....dead wrong
Will everyone on the A-team be attending Saturday Evenings festivities after the 27-19 Apple cup Victory over WSU?
The Holidays are coming up. That means its time to break out your copy of RunDMC's "Christmas in Hollis". Always gets me ready for the holiday season.

A few thoughts on random thoughts:
I think the MPC gets a bye on "meat"...only because I think he operates under the Ichiro/Jimmy Davis rule: that of veteran-rookies: perhaps we give him Flounder for a few weeks and then bump him up to Billy "BadAss" Buddusky status (if anyone gets that reference then you need to get out more)...I'm with you on the R2 phenomenon, somehow able to give a brief overview of the struggle in Jedi and video messages in New Hope, but not quite able to put together the previous 30 years of information that might of been a tad bit useful...here's my own perplexing thought: at the end of 3 the D. Star is being built, if memory serves me right there's a 20 year gap between 3 and 4, but the D. Star is almost completed at the end of 3, (now if Chewbacca is a wookie and is living on endor)... but at the beginning of 4 its treated like an brand new Hummer: which raises the Clerks question: did we have a breakdown in contractors? labor disputes? budget overruns? do you think it was viewed as the Seattle Monorail Project a long time ago in a galaxy far far away...MPC, this is why you were brought in to answer some of these issues....BatBegins: watched it a couple nights ago and commented to Train about the fact that has a top 5 hottie ever dropped as fast as K. Holmes, I mean really, TomKat has ruined any work that was done to move her up the charts, even when she was doing Dawson it didn't take this much off the table, this includes scene 36 from the Gift...unfortunately for Joe he doesn't qualify as a member of Donald Fehr's Player's Union, where he would've already been reinstated and given a million dollar bonus...no, think of the Lodge's union in terms of the NHL's player's union, you have no say and you do as your told...and yes, Saturday is an all-day op around 0800 and ending with a passed-out Jimbo being carried on Goose's shoulder out of some Cougar bar at some undisclosed location...
I can't believe that they are going to break up the Butkis Crockett Phenomenon. Did anyone catch some episodes of that show? I have to admit there was major unintentional comedy with the father's who were doing there best to play the role of “tough love dad". The highlight was the kid who had the problem with his heart and had to spend a night in the hospital. Was his dad worried about his son no he was upset that he might not get to play and then not get a scholarship? The guy was crying. Another highlight of the show was the Thursday night round table discussion with the Montour alumni. I think there was a 2 tooth minimum. At least two teeth and no more. It was classic small town.
The MPC is a great find; He is like Chris Carter when he joined the Vikings all he does is post great blogs... You will be impressed with his knowledge of the geek world. He embraces what we fear to admit.
Speaking of Movie remakes and additions to the genre. You guys need to take a look at the new Superman movie that is coming out. It is flying under the radar but I think it is going to be great. How can it not be we have Bryan Singer directing and we even has a special cameo from the grave by Cornel Kurtz himself.
To be honest with you I don’t think I can even watch The Gift anymore. All I would think of would be TOMKAT running all over the stage on Oprah. Katie H made a pact with the devil and his name is Lt. Pete Mitchell.
Has the Harry Potter Kid reached Mark Hamil status to which he can’t get a job in Hollywood because he is just known as that Potter Kid/Luke Kid? At least Hamil will have someone to room with at the Sci/fi conventions.

Train. I TIVO'd the whole season and watched every bit of the Montour spartan season. I have to say it was an entertaining show to watch, however 1st thing I would have done is teach that punk Christian how to A) block B) Hit a hole and C)Run with Authority.
Did you also find it odd that they had a player nicknamed Meat, and thats also what his parents called him? I'd have a hard time letting my mom refer to me as Meat.

For starters, TomKat was never going to be a great actress. That's like sayin' Shannen Doherty was going to be great star because she was on 90210. It was never going to happen. The Gift was a gift for all the fans of Dawson's...and even if you weren't a fan of Dawson's (wink, wink).
Second, I totally had the same thought on D. Star. How come it took 16 years to create. Were the Droids not that advanced? Maybe they had a bunch of Rosies (you know from the Jetsons) creating it or maybe the Droids were Unionized and needed vacation and breaks and could only work so long in an astroid shower? Who can really know?
I can't comment on the tv show...a) I don't have TiVo and b) I couldn't watch it because I don't know the channel and c) I think it's on cable so I'm out.
Excellent reference on Tron...I think Tron is a lost classic by Disney. Come on...(The Dude) Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner and Barnard Hughes (which I think led to his role as Grandpa in Blossom)
As for MCP...or MPC I think he is a great find. I want to take a moment and say welcome. This blog couldn't have enough nerds. He will be a great role player in this group bringing stability...kind of like Stan Javier to the M's great run.
As for the A-Team gettting together, I think it will be a go. I can't make the cup because of financial restrictions but I will venture down to Jillians for the sending off. I think an arbitrator has no say in the Joe matter. It was taken care of "in house." Think of it as an NCAA violation - the committee can take care of it or the school...and in this case the school took care of it so sanctions won't be made.
