Thoughts about the last 48 Hours...Apple Cup Edition
Going to try this again, sober this time. I have no qualms about diving right in and continuing my promise for more posts; since I am more than willing to admit writing about one-self to one-self is the first stage of insanity. Actually, I believe writing about one-self following an 0-10 football team 4+ hours to the Eastern parts of nowhere might be the final stages of insanity, but we can leave that for later when I travel to a different state to watch an 0-11 football team make football history.
Yes, I remain dedicated to one of the worst disasters in human history that finds new and interesting ways to remove crucial parts of my soul.
Things that have improved my life over the last 48 hours:
*Road trippin’ with the old man
*Derek & The Dominoes Live at the Fillmore 1970
*Friday Night Husky Drink and Appetizer Specials at TI Shenanigans in Spokane (say Shenanigans one more time)
*Bartender Matt at aforementioned restaurant on Friday
*The genuine hospitality of the good people of Spokane employed in the hospitality industry *Iron & Wine on ‘Austin City Limits’ and Western Idaho PBS
*Alumni Bus Leader Erin and her genuine enthusiasm for keeping track of a bus full of intoxicated Dawg Fans
*For relaxed booze regulations on the Cougar campus and allowing a full bar restaurant 500 feet from the stadium
*Martin Stadium, for reminding me that there are alternatives to 70,000+ stadiums and making me feel attached to the game without a $200 ticket
*To the wonderful healing (day) and blackout (night) power of Theraflu Liquid Cold Medicine *Great weather, capped off by a perfect 10 for November 23, 2008
*Road trippin’ with the old man
Things that exist, neither for negative or positive in my life:
*Sheryl Crow
*Cougar Fans and Washington State University
*Beer that requires fruit
*Fish N’ Chips
*Red Lion Inns
*Camouflage
*Prime Rib and Bartender Matt on Saturday night at above mentioned Irish named restaurant
Things that will significantly improve my life in the future:
*Tyrone Willingham no longer employed by a Division One School especially mine
It was a memorable Apple Cup for reasons other than what occurred on the field, and I encourage anyone and everyone to make the trip and experience the Cup from the other side of the mountains, just make sure to bring plenty of camouflage.
