The Lodge New Year Resolution

Well 2006 is almost gone an so is the year of the "Lack of Follow Through".

2007 will be the year of the Lodge Vegas Trip
2007 will be the Lodge Camping Trip
2007 will be the year that MCP has a date.
2007 will be the year that the Dude has at least two posts a month

My resolution and promise to the Lodge is to make Vegas happen. I begin with what I call. "The Big Idea".

The Big Idea consists of a Lodge Betting Pool.
There are 8 members of the Lodge. I propose a $25 Ante ($200) into
a) A sports gambling site or
b) An online poker site
c) A trip to an indian casino here in WA.

I say we begin a Lodge Vegas pool.
3 days two nights in Vegas according to Expedia in Mid June is about $400 per person. That is about $3200. Even if we could raise half is still makes the trip a reality. We could also find other ways to raise the cash. I've got two tickets that I am willing to donate to the cause.
- San Diego $5 ticket at 9-1 to win the AFC Championship
- Baltimore $10 ticket at 25-1 to win the Super Bowl

We can look into betting for NFL playoffs, NCAA Basketball, and yes even Soccer. Whatever gets us to Vegas.

Rules.
All bets must be a majority vote posted in the Lodge.
All Lodge members must be available to make the trip. No man gets left behind.

This year lets make the ultimate commitment. The Lodge on the road from Las Vegas.

Is everyone in? Im serious about making this happen guys. Its been a long time since we all made a road trip like this. And we did it when we were Earthlinkers at the drop of a hat. Lets ante up at the next Lodge meeting and make this a reality.

Year in Review

Looking back over the year in movies and music, you had to marvel at the udder mediocrity of it all. Seriously, I can't remember a worse year for media releases overall. No major blockbuster movie to speak of, unless you count the return of Superman (which I thought was surprisingly entertaining... and I'm not a fan of the Superman). X3 was disappointing, The Departed might have been the best movie & it was a remake, and Borat was the "funniest" movie of the year. Maybe it just pales in comparison to the film releases in 2005, but I was left unfulfilled. I'm not sure I even have a Top 5. Probably only a Top 3 with Lady Vengeance, The Departed & Casino Royale. And none stand out as something I'm going to go immediately buy on DVD.

Music was no exception to the craptastic 52 week struggle that was the year '05. Seriously, I think the world of music suffered even more than film did in 2006. Jay-Z came out of retirement and proved again it's hard to follow up a classic album. The Jigga should change his number back to 23... 46 isn't really working for him. But since I do have a Top 5 for music, I'll share it with the Lodge. And we'll hope 2007 brings back the funk (maybe in remembrance to the recent passing of Mr. James Brown), some soul, and a little bit of rock.

For the record, my 6-10 consists of the following releases that barely missed the cut (in no particular order): Yellow House by Grizzly Bear, Fox Confessor Brings The Flood by Neko Case, The Crane Wife by The Decemberists, Continuum by John Mayer (listen to it before you rip the dude, he brought the blues back in this one... the blues are back, people) & Modern Times by Bob Dylan. I've included links in the text to listen to the artist's MySpace pages for a taste. And here we go...

2006 Top 5 Albums:

1. St. Elsewhere by Gnarls Barkley

If you haven't heard Crazy by now, you either live in a third world country or are dead. There's no in-between. And yes, the album is very good. Danger Mouse put himself into the upper echelon of producers with his last 3 albums (with the "Grey Album" & "Demon Days" being the preceding two)... Pharell better watch his back. Technically this record was released in 2006 so it qualifies. You don't see me putting The Shins leaked new one here, do you? No, you don't.

2. Till the Sun Turns Black by Ray LaMontagne

I know Seatown is in agreement with me on this one. I've probably played this Ray LaMontagne release the most out of any record this year. It's just easy listening. Till the Sun Turns Black is a perfect album to kick back and relax to. Like Tribe used to rap... it's like butter, baby. The guy is talented. If you dig him, check out Lamontagne's cover of Crazy on my MySpace page.

3. FutureSex / LoveSounds by Justin Timberlake

Timbaland outdid himself on the key tracks of JT's latest. Plus, this album led to the "___ in a box" sketch on SNL. So we have more than the music to be thankful for this year. Say what you want about Justin, but this record is solid. JT had a lot of help, besides Timbaland, other records on the album were produced by will.i.am, Rick Rubin and Timberlake himself.

4. Hell Hath No Fury by Clipse

The best hip-hop album of the year. Of course, it's backed by a butt-load of beats from The Neptunes (aka Pharell Williams & Chad Hugo). Sonicly, the album has few peers, but Malice and Pusha T don't let you down on the mic either. Hell Hath No Fury stands as one of the most entertaining releases of the year.

5. The Eraser by Thom Yorke

Radiohead's Thom Yorke first solo effort reminds me of an electronic record of Yorke's dreams. Longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich produced this 9-song solo debut for the Radiohead frontman, which sounds like Radiohead stripped down and played only with beats, synth & only a little guitar. It leaves you wanting more, revealing another side to Radiohead's greatness.

If you want to crown them...THEN CROWN THEM!!!

Lets give a shout out to the Lodge Fantasy Football Champion for 2006, The Train..

A gutsy last minute waiver wire move for Matt Lienart was the key to victory.

I was curious how close my predictions were so I pulled up the old post

2.0
Predicted Finish 3rd
ACTUAL FINISH 4TH
PRESEASON COMMENTS
Great sleeper pick at QB. Solid RB's and Joe, Im pround of you for taking the 1st defense. Moss is quality at WR but any Detroit WR is a big question mark. you do have the best TE in the league but his numbers may suffer with Philip "Rolling on the" Rivers. Depth is ok. Gore may be a bigger pick than some would think
POSTSEASON REVIEW
This one worked out pretty well. Rivers caused a decline in Gates numbers and was I right on the money with Frank Gore. Your great sleeper pick (Culpepper) never panned out

Big Bens Jawbreakers
Coach Goose
Predicted Finish 4th
ACTUAL FINISH 3RD
PRESEASON COMMENTS
I'll probably be toughest on myself. I like my RB's and Im good at WR. Im still pissed at MCP over Santana Moss. I'm a little weary of my QB situation but I've done well with solid and steady QB's before. Who knows. As a Backup maybe this is Vicks big year. McGahee and Benson are going to have breakout years...and if they do, this will be a top 2 or 3 team. My depth at RB and WR is very good. Why did I draft Chris Brown?
POSTSEASON REVIEW
Well I was wrong with McGahee and Benson. It was Westbrook that has the breakout year. Picking up Philip Rivers addded stability over M Vick. And Chris Brown never played a down. Drafting LJ (Who was a solid pick) over LT was the difference between 2nd and 3rd. I'll take the bronze

The Disenfranchised
Coach Seatown
Predicted Finish 8th
ACTUAL FINISH 8th
PRESEASON COMMENTS
Seatown. I'll be honest and say on paper Im not really sure about your team. Steve Smith, Fitzgerald and Barber are quality players. Palmer is a big ??? (Though Brees is a good Backup option, he is learning a new offense). Everyone else is ok. If some of your sleepers pan out you will be a force but Im not sure if I see all those 2nd and third tier WR's making a huge impact
POSTSEASON REVIEW
I know you were mad at me Seatown, but when you are right...well you are right. You made a good call on Palmer and Brees, however Barbers lack of TD's and missing a second quality RB was tough. None of those WR's really had the breakout year you were hoping for. Lodge Fantasy Football II will bring better results for you.

Beckenbauer?
Coach Train
Predicted Finish 2nd
ACTUAL FINISH 1ST
PRESEASON COMMENTS
Train. I think your team has potential. You have a quality QB. Good RB's and a great defense. Holt will give you numbers at WR. If Plexiglass has a good year in his Up Year Down Year Rollercoaster career your should have a winning starting lineup. Shockey may be the best tight end for stats this year (See 2.0 and Phillip Rivers)Depth could be better Dont forget no matter what happens this season...you've got BUUUUSH!!!
POSTSEASON REVIEW
You got hot at the right time my friend.
You rode Jones-Drew to the title. He may have been the top waiver pickup of the year. You handled losing your QB and worked the wire well. You earned the title. We need to get a trophy for you to place on your mantel. I think we will get one and present it at the Super Bowl this year.

Browncoats
Coach MCP
Predicted Finish 6th
ACTUAL FINISH 7th
PRESEASON COMMENTS
MCP....where to start? Lets go with the positives 1st. You have the BEST trio of WR's in the League in Harrison, Johnson and Moss. You have a great RB that is subject to a Madden curse, but if he stays healty you will have a 20 TD player. Foster may be a good pick but we will have to see. He is very injury prone. You have two good QB's. If either or both of your RB's get hurt you are going to kick yourself for taking a kicker too high, taking two kickers and taking two defenses, in a leauge of only 8 teams. You drafted like a Rookie. Lets see if you can make up for it by working the waiver wire this season.
POSTSEASON REVIEW
MCP. YOUT TEAM IS WHAT I THOUGHT IT WAS!!!!!! The madden curse was predicted and came true. Plus you didnt pick up a good RB when he went down. "That, is why you fail"

Futbol Amerikan
Coach Jimbo
Predicted Finish 1st
ACTUAL FINISH 5th
PRESEASON COMMENTS
Jimbo. Love the Steven Jackson pick. You look good in all your starting slots. Len White may be a great sleeper for you. You have good backups at RB and WR. Although I think you may move Walker to a starter before the end of Preseason. You are one of the top three teams. Just pray that Matt stays healthy
POSTSEASON REVIEW
Jimbo. As Matt went, you followed and that forced you to trust the Romo Beast. NEVER trust a cowboy. They will not win you a title. Hopefully you have learned from this valuable lesson of life

Stay off Hawks Wagon
Coach "The Dude"
Predicted Finish 6th
ACTUAL FINISH 6th
PRESEASON COMMENTS
Dude. You will probably end up #1 or #8 in the league. Your team outside of Manning and Boldin is riddled with Sleepers. A bold move that may pay off. Williams and Parkers are both starting RB's on playoff contending teams. Addai, Evans, and White are big componants in their respective teams. Leftwich can be used for a solid Bye Week when Manning is out. Our Trade his to a desperate team needing a QB. Sadly that could be me.
POSTSEASON REVIEW
Tough year for Dude. Addai and Evans were solid late in the year. Dunn and Cadillac were the achillies heel.

Velveteen Diablos
Coach Devin/Devo/"Yes Boldin has already been picked 8 rounds ago"
Predicted Finish 5th
ACTUAL FINISH 2ND
PRESEASON COMMENTS
Duke. You stated the draft strong and fizzled at the end. Kind of like MCP on his one date every 4 years. (Is MCP the World Cup of the Lodge dating world?).
Tomlinson, Jones, Owens (If he doesnt implode your team) Brady, D-Jack and Heap make for a solid core. Elam was a big strech. The last few picks did nothing to help you. You too will need to use the waiver wire early in the season.
POSTSEASON REVIEW
Duke. I will admit I was most wrong about your team. The biggest mistake of the season was LJ drafted at #2, LT Drafted at #3. You rode him until Championship week, then his 8 points against the Blue Jackels of the 206 cost you. Stallworth proved to be a solid sleeper pick. Nice work to get the silver. You have earned my respect in pigskin.

I was wrong with Jimbo and Duke. However getting 6 of 8 teams within 1 spot has to be considered pretty good prognostication. Jimmy the Greek, Lee Sterling, Dixie Dynamo....YOU AINT GOT NUTHIN' ON ME!!!!!)

Great Season Boys. The 1st one is in the books. Lets see if this can continue to a solid tradition, or fold quicker than the XFL after one season

to honor Trains title, I give him this....

The Gathering

The few surviving Immortals are being drawn for "The Gathering," a final series of confrontations to determine the victor of "The Prize". There can be only one. Don't lose your head.

Goose The Kurgan
He struggles to maintain his chance at the Quickening, even after Larry Johnson's runs were slashed down by a San Diego defense. As the last strengths of The Kurgan remain he switches up and moves onto the SD QB and Defense, against an unlikely but tenacious opponent. Will we he win 3rd? Only the singing of steel will tell...

2.0 Dutch Boy

From the dikes and windmills of his land a fierce finger comes to protect the clogs, tulips, and oil paintings. What kind of sling and rock does this David have for the Goliath? A weakened Green Bay offense has already made its attempt, all hope rests in a tremendous effort by Frank Gore, and shutdown with Chicago D against Detroit.

Duke Mac Leod

Is he the "one". The Kurgans predictions of olden days proved false against this great warrior. From the lowly highlands of West Seattle, through storm and rain, he came forth as an underdog. Ladainian Tomlinson proved a strong sword, along with the multiplicity of three leading QB's Brady, Grossman, and Bulger. The point margin still remains narrow between he and his rival. All hope rests in a gamble on Deion Branch.

Train Mac Leod

Rarely in the history have the Watchers seen two warriors from the same ken of West Seattle battle together as Immortals. Yet in the twilight it is these surprising two who remain. Reggie Brown and New Orleans have proved strong tools for this Highlander, will they continue and persevere til the end for him? Even now the projections are slim and margins for error cannot be made. Will Garrard come back for him and help Train claim the Prize?!

  • Honorable mention to Shawn Ramirez' tutelage.

  • Thanks to Jimbo Mercury for sending us off to the battlefield.

  • Special Participation Award to the Dude.

  • Good effort to all of Jaynes five kickers. Here's to next season.

    Freak Week: Dwight

He's on tv and his character is a freak, and just because...

    Yo, Lets Do This

I really don't care how we do it or when we do it but this movie is a Lodge must. Is there any other movie that imbodies the Lodge spirit? The underdog story? NO!

Lets name the time and the place and just get there and see it.

There will be a strict zero tolerance policy, that means no excuses.

    Random Musings From Insurance-Land

Things are finally returning back to normal after the windstorm...it was a CRAZY @#$%ing week, to put it moderately. Anyway...a couple of chatting points:

    1. Gotta give props for the 4 Seahawks that made the pro-bowl. I was only expecting 2 picks. Julian Peterson & Lofa Tutapu will be representing the Defense while Mack Strong & Walter Jones are in for the offense.
Julian I expected in the Pro-bowl, and it was really cool to see Lofa continuing to ge respect. Mack Strong was a little surprising, and apparently Walter Jones is still at the top of his position, despite starting to show signs of his age.
The big travesty...WHERE THE @#$% IS JOSH BROWN!?!?!?!? Did the Chicago love-fest had to include screwing over a guy how defines the term "clutch". I smell on conspiracy....

    2. The College bowl pool has officially started & the lodge is 1 for 1. I got the TCU/N Illinois game 31 points, and we came up big. Just 31 more to go!

    3. I'm loving that "Rock Balboa" has got a 77% Freshness rating on Rottentomatoes.com. I'm not a huge Rocky fan, although I love #1 & #4...for completely difference reasons. Part 1, because it's a damn fine film, & part 4 because it's so damn cheesy & over the top. A lot of reviews are comparing this to the first flick, and everything I've seen seems to indicate that this will be a much better way for Rocky to go out, than Rocky V. I just watched that for the first time, and oh my god...CRAP! Like total crap! Stupidest street fight ever!
Still...I'm genuinely excited about seeing the new one.

    4. So Serenity is going to be the midnight movie @ the Egyptian on December 30! Lodge gathering? j/k

Anyway...I've gotta get back to writing up my number 6 & 7 films of the year....

    Talk amongst yourselves....

    Top 5 Movie Scores

This week, the Lodge started bantering about Vince DiCola versus Bill Conti in the Rocky movies... by the way, in my opinion, it's Conti by a landslide due to Eye of the Tiger being a Survivor song and not a DiCola penned tune. (Side note: my brother would listen to Eye of the Tiger before every basketball game he played in High School through College... it got him that pumped up to play.) So without further ado, let's discuss our Top 5 Movie Score lists.

And we are not talking "soundtracks" with compilations of popular songs, but original scores by composers. For example, a score which narrowly missed my list, and would definitely be in my 6-10, is another John Williams classic in the original score to Star Wars. I'd rank these Williams soundtracks higher if you were able to listen to them more than once in a while before going insane because they can't get out of your head in a Barbie Girl kind of way. But you can't make this Top 5 without mentioning Star Wars. I'm not sure it's possible. Below are my favorites:

    Top 5 Movie Scores

    1. The Last of the Mohicans by Randy Edelman & Trevor Jones.

Seriously, this is my favorite score of all time. It's on my iPod and everything. Plus, I revisit it at least once a month. This is an epic score with intricate, moving, and original pieces. There's just something about soarding violin's in soundtracks. Or maybe it's just the violin.

    2. The Mission by Ennio Morricone.

The Mission is an Academy Award-nominated score that is truly captivating with beautifully crafted works that reflect the culture and mood of the film, yet it easily transcends as stand alone music.

    3. Raiders of the Lost Ark by John Williams.

Honestly, John Williams is a movie legend that should get a lifetime acheivement Oscar for his overall work in the film industry. Of course, he already has 5 Academy Awards and probably doesn't have the shelf space for another. I love this score.

    4. The Good, The Bad & The Ugly by Ennio Morricone.

Morricone scores another spot on my list with the classic score to the iconic spaghetti western The Good, The Bad & The Ugly back in 1966. With a familiar whistle, you can picture the man with no name peering down at you. Unforgettable.

    5. Brokeback Mountain by Gustavo Santaolalla.

Gustavo Santaolalla's hauntingly beautiful penned score to last year's Ang Lee renowned Brokeback Mountain is my favorite score of the past 10+ years. I thought Santaolalla's score was intricate, sonicly pleasant, added a subtle texture that tremendously aided the film, and was truly original. Santaolalla deservedly won the Oscar.

    Optimus is near

This is the newest Transformers Live Action Movie Trailer. No youtube for it yet. The planes are in, the cars are in, the helpless humans may have a love story. Gooo Michael Bay...

    Morning Training

"Who was the greatest? Who was the best of all time? If two atheletes from different eras could actually compete against one another, who would come out on top?"
Bringing back old school, the original training montage, with its dying disco edge, grimy Philadelphia filth.

Yes, its out tomorrow. Rock Balboa returns. I will see it. Why? Well, as cliche at the whole franchise has become since Clubber v. Rocky, the pangs of gone-by ideals are screaming for retribution from Rocky III, IV, V. So will Balboa do it? I think Balboa will bring back the drama, tension, and reality that the original held. Who knows, the training montage could be redone in a completely revolutionary way!

    Rocky : Redux

does that soundtrack give you chills... oh yea...

    New Digital Short

Not sure if any of the Lodge was able to see JT on SNL this past weekend... but the guys from The Lonely Island did it again (you might remember the Chronic of Narnia, Natalie Portman Rap, Chuck Norris, etc.) with this unbelievable SNL Digital Short. I was laughing when Andy and JT looked like Color Me Badd members, but then when the punchline hit I was crying from laughing so hard.

The last few times NBC has been taking these down (a guess to try and drive internet traffic to their site)... so if that happens again, it's also here under "Most Popular" in the bottom left. Speaking of NBC, I have to mention how good both Aaron Sorkin's new show Studio 60 and Alec Baldwin's consistantly brilliant virtuoso performance on 30 Rock has been this year. Nice work, peacock.

A Champion of the Round and Oblong Ball

Lamar Hunt Died today at the age of 74. He was a pro sports visionary who coined the term “Super Bowl” and help spearhead the AFL-NFL merger

"His vision transformed pro football and helped turn a regional sport into a national passion," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said. "Lamar created a model franchise in the Kansas City Chiefs, but he was always equally devoted to the best interests of the league and the game."

The son of an oil tycoon grew up on El Dorado, Arkansas. He was captain of the football team for the Pennsylviania prep school that he attended. He even earned the nickname “games”

Hunt was also champion of US Soccer. He was a co-founder of the North American Soccer League. (Think NY COSMO and Pele). He also co-founded MSL (think Landy Cakes and semi pro soccer). The man was really the only advocate for US soccer.

The AFC Champions Trophy, The US CUP are both named in his honor.

Counting pro football, Hunt has been inducted into eight halls of fame, including ones for soccer and tennis as well as the Texas Business Hall of Fame and the Kansas City Business Hall of Fame.

The round ball and the oblong ball both owe a lot to Lamar Hunt (1932-2006)

    Did someone say Playoffs?

Week one of the 1st ever Lodge Playoffs is almost in the books and it looks like the races are close.

Goose has a 56 point lead over Seatown with Thomas Jones playing tonight. I wont declare victory as there is always a 350yd 7TD performance waiting. Philip Rivers has a solid game and 41 points from the DEF K and W/R positions made Goose feel better about Leaving Ladell Betts and his 171yds Rushing on the bench

The Browncoats were defeated thanks to stellar play by 2.0's RB's W/R and TE. The Chicago Defense should top off this Sundae with 10-15 points of its own tonight. The loss wasted the 1st good game from Eli Manning all year. Apparently 2 K's as high draft choices cannot win you a title, however most of us know that. Do you smell something? No its not an Upset like MCP Predicted. Thats the smell of defeat.

Train rode Rudi and MJD to and Upset Victory over the third ranked Dude (Hey we may not see him but once a month, but his team showed up for most of the season). The Dude looked like he was going to be tough with Fast Willie breaking out 18pts on Thursday but didn't count on no one else showing up, including Payton Manning (Goose and MCP Thank you for that...seeing that we have Harrison and Wayne)

Duke and Jimbo have the only game that doesn't require a 56 point RB performance to Win. Duke has Marc Bulger, Jimbo has his kicker and Steven Jackson. I know Jimbo is drinking right now leaving 60 points on the bench. He ran into the LT machine. (Who broke the TD Record as reported by Goose)

Anyway. Week 2 matchups barring a huge Monday night game should be Goose (2) vs Train (6) and 2.0 (1) vs the (4)Duke. Good luck boys. Goose is off work this week and will be in sporadically to comment.

    MCP has no life

So I finally threw a short film a did a while back on Youtube finally & figured I'd share it with the lodge.
Please excuse the quality, as youtube compressed the widescreen image into the typical 4:3 ratio.
    Anyway...it's kinda silly & stupid...so, uh...yeah.

    MCP's Top Films of 2006 #8-9

    #9 - Borat

It’s been a while since we’ve seen someone make comedy dangerous. In an age of Dane Cook style amusing observations, there really aren’t too many guys out there who can bring so much discomfort and laughter to an audience.
This movie pushes its audience with a cattle prod. It builds on itself so well you find yourself laughing at things you know you shouldn’t laugh at and feeling a little uncomfortable as to what’s going to happen next. But that nervousness is what makes it brilliant. There’s no predictability. You don’t know what the next joke is going to be or where it’s going to come from. We live in an age where most big studio comedies are almost identical in their setup & execution of jokes, that a film like this is almost jarring.
The thing I really liked about this film was that I had genuine feeling that the film had no boundaries. There was literally nowhere the film wasn’t willing to go. One minute you’re watching the “running of the Jew” and the next you’re watching the most outrageous fight scene you’ve ever encountered.
And I liked that they took the South Park method of jokes. Instead of picking on one race or country or people, Borat slings jokes at everyone. It’s equal opportunity mockery.
And really...you have to respect a movie in which most of the “supporting cast” sues the filmmaker.

    8 - Hard Candy

I’m going to try and write a review for this movie without giving anything away. I want to ruin nothing about it if you haven’t seen it.
In a nutshell, this is about a 32 year old guy who meets a 15 year old on the internet. They meet in the real world, and all hell breaks loose. This film also marks the first movie produced by Paul Allen’s company Vulcan Productions.
This was the only movie I saw this year that had a moment that truly overwhelmed me. There is a scene about halfway in that is just so intense and hard to watch I literally had to close my eyes and plug my ears. I simply just couldn’t take watching it. And you know what the beautiful thing is about the scene? It’s basically comparable to the ear scene in Reservoir Dogs. It’s not what’s on screen that makes it hard to watch. It’s what your imagination does that amps up the horror of it all.
The film is very simple. It basically takes place in just one location and involves only two characters. And they are both completely believable and brilliant. The screening I saw this at had the screenwriter and lead actress, and I remember not even being able to look her in the eyes during the Q &A. If that’s not an effective performance, than I don’t know what is.

    I'm Blade B*tch!

You may have heard that Blade was hanging out in Africa, well hiding for a while. Wesley Snipes has been arrested on tax fraud evasion charges after deciding to come back from Namibia of his own will.

He was out there making his new film GallowWalker. Which I hope is going to be frikkin awesome since he's going to be slaying ZOMBIES! His financial choices could put into a spin, what could be great fun for undead fans. Bad dialogue, bad martial arts, and bad ass walking dead.

    Plot LOL:
A gunman knows too well the ways of vengeance. Fast and furious, he has killed every man who crossed him. But his gift with a gun comes with a curse. All those who die by his hand will return. Enter the world of GALLOWWALKER, where vengeance lives forever.

I kinda don't know what's funnier, potentially going to prison for 16 years and cage fighting with inmates who can say, "Thanks for everything Julie Newmar!" or his decision to come back to the U.S. after leaving a relatively safe haven country.

The Art of War - " I always enjoy it when an opponent raises the level of play. "
Demolition Man - "I'm sorry to say that the world has become a pussy-whipped, Brady Bunch version of itself--run by a bunch of robed sissies."
Blade Trinity- "Hey Blade, I got a question for you... Let's say we succeed in wiping out all the vampires. What then? Huh? Ever ask yourself that? I mean somehow I don't picture you teaching Karate at the local Y. " (Van Wilder coulda' ran this whole movie on improv dialogue)
Passenger 57- unfortunately i couldn't find anything useful in this hopelessly useless movie.
